Tycoon...that picture just confuses me more...as in should I wait for a demo facelifted car (without the sports pack and leather to keep the $ down). lol
I love the blue too, but it's not a new vehicle so my choice is somewhat limited (there are very very few used vehicles available and this is the best specced and best priced). Besides I really like this colour as well.

The A3 Looks good to me
But it's a auto... Maybe not so great..
BMW.. Fancy car and rides is great..
Audi A3 My Choice.. It's so good finish on the inside that makes you feel happy.

The engine is good. Seems to have enough grunt and is much more effortless than the 2.2litre Vtec in my vtir prelude. Same goes for the Audi. They both spin more eagerly and smoothly.

Yes I did Just Me. Thank you very much for the information. Most of those issues would have to be addressed under warranty, and probably cant be pre-empted. If it happens it happens. I did notice the brake squeeking on the Audi test drive though, but only if you plaed around with it once stopped. Not really a problem I don't think.

Also if the 120i has runflats I'd go the Audi for our roads, runflats suck on our roads for ride quality.

So I bought the Audi.
I went for a final test drive and found the Audi noticeably more comfortable on our rough roads ( as phaeton already mentioned we have really bad roads here). In the end though it basically came down to buying an almost brand new vehicle (with all the benefits i.e roadside assistance, loan vehicles etc.) as opposed to the older BMW. While the Audi was lacking a few features I found it was actually a 09/06 car (so only 4 months old) compared to the BMW which is around 2 years old already. While the BMW's manual transmission was excellent, over time I may have wished i bought an auto (I'm lazy ) and the Audi's auto is excellent and has the useful paddle shift option. The feel good factor of the Audi interior and the excellent sound system were also in its favor. The price i was able to get the Audi down to was also the final nail in the coffin for the up until then extremely tempting BMW.
I take delivery on Friday!
Now all I need is an understated body kit to make it look a bit more sinister! Any suggestions?
