SLightly different exercise...partly inspired by Matski's desire for a coach-built E38-based coupe and partly inspired by the current Civic Type-R, a car where I think I just aged out of, and the newly-debuted GR Yaris.

If you could develop a car....just one car *cough* Merc1 *cough* based on a current or past car, what would you want?

I'll start....I got a hankering of some of that bubble-era JDM magic so....

I'd want a Honda Accord Type-R wagon. Throw in the Civic's Type-R blown four, either their 8-speed DCT or 6-speed manual, rear-biased AWD, a proper wagon hatch, paint it a pearlescent white with black and subtle red trim, and you got yourself a spicy meatball!

or

A modern incarnation of Subaru's Legacy/Liberty Spec B wagon.

So either one of those, and add to that...
991.2 GT3
upcoming Bronco
restored Alfa GTV coupe.

Now that's a garage. A car from every major market except England. Though if I had to add an English car, either DBS Volante or a Vanquish Volante would do.

I guess an electric car should also be included, but I don't feel like bothering with that today.

THE car ? Hmmm...

For me: A somewhat "smoothened" Audi RS eTron GT (sans the front wing vents because they somehow disturb the designs' "flow" and irritate my eyes...but are ironically necessary in order to ensure the aerodynamic flow. Function can be a bitch sometimes.). Tri-e-motor, QuantumScape solid-state battery powertrain developed in cooperation with Rimac. 900kW system output. Vegan-leather interior ennobled courtesy of Mulliner (hey, Bentley will be "placed under Audis' wing" anyway...). Maybe fitted with the Conti GTs' 22" bicolor rims. And I'm liking that Crimson Rose tone of paint offered by Bentley.

I thought about starting this as a thread a while back, then I realised I just wanted to Alpina V12 all the things.

You just built a new home and you have 10 garage spaces only, and for a bonus you have a covered "carport" that will hold two additional cars. What are those cars?

1) Lexus LFA
2) Ferrari 599GTO
3) Porsche 992 GT3
4) Porsche 997 GT3 RS
5) Singer 911...but not DLO.
6) BMW E9 3.0CS
7) Alfaholics GTA-R...either 290 or 300
8) Mercedes-Benz 500E W124
9) Mercedes-Benz G350d W464
10) BMW E46 M3 CSL

Carports will house the dailies
1) Either the Hyundai Ioniq 5 or the KIA EV6
2) Mercedes-Benz C222 S560 Cabriolet or Aston Martin Vanquish Volante

And since I have curbside parking at my imaginary manse while another spot is being added to the carport ;) :
Either Volvo V90 or V60 or BMW G31 540i Touring or G21 330i Touring or Mercedes-Benz W213 E450 Estate or Alfa Giulia Ti Sport or Stelvio Ti Sport.

Looking at the list, I am surprised there's no legit rear-midengined car. The SInger being the exception, I want cars, while beautiful and well-crafted, I wouldn't want them to be so precious that I wouldn't want to drive them.

An addendum to the list:
upcoming Corvette Z06.... it has attributes that a very intriguing: mid-rear displaced NA flat-cranked V8 based loosely on their race-car. And it adds a bit of spice to the garage, as it's American.
