Ugliest Audi ever produced?

I can't think of too many ugly modern Audi's, but there are quite a few boring ones.

The headlamp wash system is standard, when your car has Xenon/Bi-Xenon headlights. An operation of Xenonlights without headlamp wash and automatic headlamp beam height control is illegal here in germany.

So, when your car doesn't have Xenon headlights it's normal, that your car doesn't have a head lamp wash system.
The missing Quattro badge - I don't know...

Audi 50 - literally a rebadged VW Polo, but that Audi badge didn't look good on it at all...



Second generation Audi A6 (C5). Ok front, but the side and rear profile were hideous IMO.

Audi RS2. That front always bugged me for some reason...

It's a beautiful car!



Then, about the A2. I think it looked much much better then it's rival, MB A-Class. It's har dto actually make a good lookin' car in that segment. So I think Audi did a great job.

About the worse lookin' Audi imo?

And about the A6 C5? Yes it was ugly, standard.

But when the RS6 came, it all changed:

It seems we're struggling to find a truly ugly example here also. Audi like Mercedes really hasn't made any truly ugly cars in the last 20 years or so (the years I've been paying attention to cars) and they've certainly haven't made any that are the "ugliest ever produced" worthy.

The previous generation A6 was one of the most beautiful cars Audi has ever made. The roofline and proportions were absolutely correct. The little 80/90 Cabrio of the 90's like the Quattro Coupe from those years was far from ugly. They were elegant and understand to a fault.

Audis in the past may have and say may have been guilty of being somewhat dull, but ugly I think not. It is easy to find pics of any older European car with the smallest wheels and particle board looking hubcaps and call it ugly.

Absolutely agree with my friend Marcus here.

The sad thing is that i can find way more ugly cars of my fav brand than by Audi.......

The only thing from Ingolstadt that i hate and it doesn't look line an Audi to me is the A2.

All others are everything, but ugly. Bravo Audi, that's all i have to say.

The C5 A6 was a real ugly Audi. It is for me by far the most ugly premium car of the past decades.

It has a shape that seems to melt, a dripping car, so soft that it has no form at all...Painted bumpers or not, face-lift or not (even if some lines appear on the bumpers) it is disgusting, really disgusting.

This is the only modern German car that I really really find ugly. Even the RS6 is awful, even if better...
This car is an abomination to my eyes.

I don't really know why, but this is one of the very few cars I hate...

Usually I don't hate cars. There are cars that I like, others that I don't like, but I usually never hate a car. This A6 however, I can't stand it.
I don't like the B6 A4, but without hating it...Like the B5 ot the B7 much more...

Surely there is a psychological explanation, something when I was a kid that makes me hate the C5 A6...

BTW, really this is THE ugly Audi for me. No doubt about that. Audi 100, Audi 50....no, no, no, the C5 A6 takes the cake.

I think some people here are taking it the wrong way. We are supposed to tell which are the ugliest cars Audi has made. That doesn't tell anything about how we rank them compared to other cars. Personally I think the ugliest Audi cars are still not that bad looking compared to ugly cars in general.


@ Audiholic, sorry, I just don't like the Cabriolet.

And I really tried to like the C5 A6 (including RS6) but I still couldn't get over the fact how a relatively small detail, black plastic panel with two red lights on it, is enough to completely ruin the rear of what otherwise was a magnificent car.

A6 C5? Oh come one guys... it ain't that bad.

OK so the base models had a cheap looking black plastic clad around the bumpers, but the lines were so nicely sculpted and how can you forget the RS6?

However, here's the best example that Aerodynamic and Modern not always equals Beautiful.

This was a modern looking car back then, it even influenced Ford with the original Taurus. With an drag coefficient of 0,30 it's also very aerodynamic even for today standards.

All things considered, however, look at that picture above and tell me if you have ever, in all of your life, seen anything quite so ugly?

Might I suggest to keep your barf bag handy, because, here is the Avant version...

And to think that Audi started with that ugly lump and nowadays the current A6 Avant is by far and away the best looking Estate car ever made (IMO at least).

I suspect this all has to do with Changing styling trends rather than objective ugliness .....the 100 just looks so quintessentially '80s to me.
