Regardless how much i like Porsche better, if i'd have to chose, i would choose R8 GT. Porsche is way too brutal for every day use...

I highly doubt the R8 GT will be any more "livable" on a daily basis. No one in their right mind buys either one of these cars as their daily driver. Anyone buying these cars new already have a couple of cars to choose from for daily use.

I have always been a fan of the GT2. The RS seems even more hard core. My personal preference is the GT2 RS. If the regular GT2 was nearly a match for the Carrera GT, I can only imagine how much speed this thing can carry.

R8 GT for me, just for that engine and hopefully with the gated manual. GT2 RS, as impressive as the numbers are it leaves me bit cold. Heck, I would even take a GT3 RS over GT2 RS.

As far as Porsche...They only cars that I would ever consider from the would be the Panamera, Cayenne, Carrera GT and the Hyrbid supercar that they "might" do. The rest of them just look odd.

Great performance, but ugly presentation.

You're thanking God for Porsche winning a poll? Really?

Regardless which car wins, it doesn't mean Porsche is a better car. Just means that some folks are just dedicated to Porsche. I'm sure if half of those folks actually drove an R8 GT they would probably think twice anyway. The car looks simply spectacular in person (regular R8).

Me too. I don't think a lot of people comprehend what sort of driving talent is required to control the 40:60 weight distribution, 620hp and 700Nm through the rear wheels. There are a lot of punters who think they could clock a time at the 'ring close to Walter Röhrl in a GT2 RS , when the reality is they would probably die in a ball of flames after exiting the first corner at over 200km/h going backwards!

For 60PS more from the Porsche, the 0-60 times arn't so good compared to the R8 GT, only a 1sec difference to 120(mph)! Anyway I'd choose the Gt2 RS if I was a pro driver, but I'm not..

So the R8 GT for me

1 second might not sound a lot but when you are only talking about 10 seconds to reach these speeds it effectively is an improvement of 10% which is considerable.

None of these. I would chose McLaren MP4-12C which will be fastest, most exclusive, most special and IMO the most beautiful. As it is not yet available, Porsche 911 GT3 RS hands down.
