Porsche GT2 RS - without thinking twice. Not a fan of the R8…

All respect to the GT2. It sure is faster, it is.
But the looks? Nah, to lame... I would pick a normal 911 Turbo over it.

While the R8... Look at that monster! Makes the normal V10 look like a kitty.
So, the R8 GT for me please.

Wow, the models are really gathering up now. I can't chose. I simply can't. Had it been the GT3 RS, then I think it would have been easier. Now, the R8 makes a better case...

P.S. I absolutely love the new front arches on the GT2 RS.

kudos for dynamics which is the main reason why people buy them!
any R8 is just from another world compared to anything and GT version just rips off the universe!

competitor according to the R8gt press release is supposed to be 911 GT3!
GT2 RS is above these and more hardcore... only few to stand against IMO!

Pity about the standard R-Tronic 'box on the Audi, pity about the herculean clutch on the GT2 RS; damn-well gonna need He-man thighs to push that pedal in.

You can tell by the comments of the people champion the GT2RS that they have probably never driven a GT2 before because it wasn't nicknamed the widow maker for no reason and upping the power to 620hp means this nickname is all the more believable.

So based on this and the fact that the R8GT comes with all the ease of driving dynamics of regular R8s my vote would have to go to the slower but much less scary Audi.

Well, the Porsche has really no competitor in the perfamce department, but the looks of the R8 GT are much nicer in my book. Hard to tell.

Porsche, no doubt, is a great performer & all but looks aged now, imo! I'd take the Audi here! Can't wait to see them along in a test.

R8 gets my vote based purely on an emotional factor-I just love the looks of the R8.
Both cars great performers so that does nothing for me.

Both cars are supposed to be track weapons so looks are not a deciding factor. So, it's all up to performance and how each car delivers it.

In my book, the GT2 RS is a much radical and focused car than the R8 GT, and this is the most important thing. The fact that a normal R8 V10 looks better and more special than a 911 Turbo, is completely irrelevant in this comparison.

So, clearly the Porsche for me!

Regardless how much i like Porsche better, if i'd have to chose, i would choose R8 GT. Porsche is way too brutal for every day use...
