Hot! Toyota GT Concept

Toyota doesn't base its decisions on market trends or analysts' estimates; it follows its own agenda. Who would have thought that today is a good time to launch not one, but two radical, high-performance coupes that will apparently be epic for a mostly mainstream brand? All that's left to do is congratulate them on their courage and decision.

I believe they will just be revealing the Lexus concept specs, not an actual production car
Hard to tell, on the Lexus EU Newsroom "Toyota Motor Corporation will unveil its all-new Lexus and GR sports models in a world premiere." for me that means not the concept but the production version. But will see! Not long to wait.

After searching for information on forums and other sources, I must say that the mystery remains well kept.
The Lexus will surely be a more "luxury and GT" model, therefore with a higher price than the GR GT.
The head of the Toyota Group had stated that he wanted to make Lexus a more luxurious brand.
The only confirmation we have is that it will use a V8 hybrid engine, probably with a plug-in configuration for the Lexus and a more "performance" configuration for the GR GT.
Some people are also talking about several "trims" for the GR GT, but I haven't found any more details.
Many seem certain that the GR GT will be sold as "GR" and not "Toyota GR" and will be available in Europe, the US and Asia from Q4 2026 for Japan and Q1 2027 for the rest.
The third will be the GT3 competition version.
The hype is huge for me, and it's not every day that the Japanese release a supercar, and in this case we're talking about three cars!

Nah this isn't confirmation.

I think something was lost in translation from the Japanese media to the Australian publication that originally posted that info, haven't seen a transcript or anything. Happy to be proven wrong though.

Well, it's 100% V8 by sound and have the hybrid sticker on the prototypes.
The Lexus is more mystery that the GR GT for sure, but i don't see why they will not use this engine from the same family (Group).
But maybe im totaly off and Toyota will prove me wrong friday.

Yes the GR GT is 100% V8, and the report of 3 trim levels is straight from Japanese media. Same engine as the cancelled LC-F project

I was referring to the news about the Lexus, rather. I still believe it will be a full BEV. We'll find out tomorrow.
