In the spirit (pun somewhat intended) of NSL's Beer thread, I figure this thread was bound to be created.
So I'm not a rich man so I like to stick with USD $8-15 range. I usually stick to reds because to me there's more nuance and varied flavors.
So here are my some of my favorites...
1) J. Lohr - Cabernet Sauvignon
2) Casillero del Diablo - Camenere or Cab Sauvignon
3) Most Argentinian Malbecs
4) Almost any Italian Barolos
5) Jacob Creek's (Reserve) Shiraz
Give me a dinner consisting of a med-rare ribeye, sauteed garlic rapini, roasted rosemary potatoes, and a glass or two, I will have the stupidest grin on my face
