Road tests The Official Car Lap Times Thread - Supertest Results / Acceleration / Track Battles etc...

Wow, so slow. The previous W205 C63S was 8.7s 100-200 in Sport Auto, and 8.5s in AutoBild.
The full power is available for 10 s, after these 10 s 110 of the horses go to graze grass. Not to mention that when the battery is empty another 95 horses are missing and these numbers will be significantly slower, while the previous model was always on fire.

Regarding the 296GTB run at the Nordschleife in the supertest ... I just stopped the vid after " Fuchsröhre" cause it did hurt so much hearing the Ferrari to ground so many times! Was it also a problem with the Pista/488? Can't remember! Or is the 296 so much lower or underdamped?

Underfloor might look interesting after CGs lap :p

Wow, so slow. The previous W205 C63S was 8.7s 100-200 in Sport Auto, and 8.5s in AutoBild. One would think that with the controversial decision to put an I4 in the car, Mercedes would at least make sure the performance was there to offset the negative perception - but apparently not!
Exactly! And 19 degrees celsius was even an environmental condition, which was helpful ...

Woah. Seems a lot quicker than the others and a lot lighter. Hope it wasn't a classic Ferrari ringer. These are seriously impressive times. That's a 9.8 1/4 mile stock with no rollout....

Also the 18.5 sec 0-300 kph time is very impressive. 😋

No, they actually measured 18,5 seconds, it's in the article.

Can't say I saw it. It wasn't tabulated, but as you say it's in the article, somewhere. But I was referring to something else.🙂

-Conditions and circumstances dependant ofcourse.

I haven't gotten around to reading the Magazine test yet been somewhat preoccupied but I know in couple of places even the AMG guys are struggling with the idea of the current C63.

I did skim the comments but I'm hoping maybe in vain it'll do something against those cars. I'll let you know.

I've did have a breeze through the article but the outcome was always expected. Link to the thread of the magazine article is below for anyone else who hasn't had a chance to read it yet.

These are two very impressive machines. I've got to make more money...I've simply got to make more money to afford either cause we may never see their like again for an age. CT5-V Blackwing is the obvious (relatively) affordable option but I'll never be able to get one in my market.
