Even the N-Ring time of 7:25 seems slow for its power, weight and low riding height. An AMG GT63 S 4dr ran the size time and that is a 2.1ton sports saloon with higher center of gravity and front engined.

We knew that the MC20 was slow... me and a couple of other people all guessed high 20s if the car was on Potenza Sport tires. This is all within expectations.

You can't really compare factory laps to Sport Auto laps, but yeah, it's still slower than something like the M4 CSL (7:17 Sport Auto), or the 488 GTB from 7 years ago (7:22), never mind modern competition like the 992 GT3 (7:05), or the 296 GTB (6:59). On Potenza Race tires you could expect at least 5s improvement, but that still wouldn't make it terribly competitive.

The car also seemed pretty low on power. 572PS vs 630PS advertised. Not sure if that was just a problem of that particular car, or if Maserati are over-rating it in general.

I just read the article (via Google Translate). Apparently Maserati mechanics explained the disappointing dyno result by saying the dyno station was at 757 meters above sea, whereas the factory claim is only up to 600 m of elevation. Also, they put in 95 octane fuel for the dyno run o_O
But then Gebhardt goes on to say that the car felt like <600 PS even at a test airfield, 170 m above sea.

I see that acceleration results is slower than other european tests

Another interesting bit from the test is MC20 only managing 288 kph at the end of Döttinger Höhe.
For comparison, McLaren 600LT at the same section hit 303 kph (claimed 600 PS / dynoed at 618 PS; 1,434 kg with full tank).

Also, they estimate 8 to 10 second Nordschelife lap time improvement with proper semislicks.

These are slower times up to 200km/h but 16.2sec to 300km/h and 1km in 17.4sec@308km/h is shattering.

Electric cars with little drag and massive horsepower are very quick……
