The only concept that turned out was the 4er when they did the facelift. Pretty much 99% the concept.

Edit: and the i8. And this one makes me wonder..it was so out of the box and they’ve done it..why they couldn’t do it to the 8 and Z4 aswell..and please don’t come with the regulations bs talk. The Lexus has a just as low front end.

i8 no way. That one is furthest away from the Vision Efficient Dynamics.
4er I can agree with, it's fairly close though clearly not the same car either. It's all ever so slightly altered:

BMW take notice: no more concepts and only VISION cars giving a glimpse into the future.

It is an odd angle of the car I think, but overall the car looks quite great though the concept is much much more nicer.

Just looking at that, I wish they did retain the sharp cornered shape of the headlight units from the concept. Otherwise the transition from concept to production is to be expected.

Audi always gets the hood line right... Why can't BMW?

The Z4 and X2 are the odd ones out right now, and the X7 and FL 7er won't have a shutline altogether, only on the side. So that compensates.

Its funny that BMW's sporty models like the Z4 and X2 have the ugly hood lines but the big luxury models have the nice hood line......

Production vs Concept

I've seen the car, looks better than those leaked images. The front-end on those leaked images is just weird, not sure why. The interior is pretty nice also, think along the lines of the latest cockpits from this year.

Was the forward leaning "shark nose" noticeable in person? From the leaked photos, it doesn't seem like it at all.

The front styling is a big disappointment, the shape of the production lights look too similar to other cars. If the sharp angular light shape from the concept was retained then the Z4 would have been a far more prettier car.

I suspect looks wise, Supra will be the better looking of the two.

Glossy paint and without monochrome black or dark anthracite rims may just do the trick...

I'm thinking BRG with a tan/brownish tone of leather. Or a non-metallic mouse grey with red leather. Brushed satin silver or bicolor rims.
