The MYTH about the Audi A4 B8's interior quality...

lol...I did. All they had was a new mini cooper S. What a BLAST to drive to work. :D

Vroom, I noticed in your second picture, look at the panels just below the date. Another panel that isn't fitting quite right? :t-hands:

Hummm I may have to take this up with the Dealer next time I'm there, pretend to be a Audi quality control inspector I'm the form of a teenager:D

I think that what has happen with the current Passat in comparission with the old one is the same case than with the Audi B8 and B7 A4, better quallity feeling.

And by the way, reading coments about W211 door panels, I can also say that they are class leadding in quallity, the leather on the doors is fantastic.

I wonder if the new SEAT Exeo, with its B7 Cabriolet interior is going to be better than its more expensive brother, the A4 B8.

Ι test drove the normal Passat last year and the Tiguan and sat in a Scirocco last month. All had "mediocre" written all over the interior.

Previous generation Passat was among the best in it's class , it was very close to A4 and 3 series. VW's cost cutting measures have hurt the new model very much.

I have never driven the CC but according to the magazines the plastics are very improved over the sedan.

On the other hand if you are right and it's close to A4 then i imagine that means it's on the same level with 3 series also.

This may be an issue for a person comparing a VW to an Audi, but when you compare a VW to a Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Chevy, etc. the VWs still have the better interiors. Maybe not head and shoulders above anymore, but still better. Even the Jetta has a better interior than your average Honda or Toyota that costs thousands more.

Very good point!! Because the interior of the Seat Exeo is really well build. Looks great…well the B7 interior… :D …but this makes a Seat even more interesting.

This would make me buy a Seat - I also like the exterior of the Exeo! So why should I buy an Audi A4 - when I can get same quality for less money. ;)

^What's even more annoying than extensive sharing parts is not bothering to change the design or layout of the interior:eusa_doh:

Oh well at least good for SEAT fans:D

But what about A5 interior quality? A4 is clearly based on A5, but I absolutely think A5 quality is far from A4 B8.

I am so glad BMW and MB only make cars and parts for themselves.

BMW would do the same if they could. They are just not big enough.

PS. Peugeot and BMW make together the 1.6 lt engine for Mini and 1 series.

No Yannis, this 1.6l engine is strictly for the MINI and the PSA Group. The one in the 116i is the old unit.

BTW, in this cooperation, BMW developed the engine, and PSA was responsible for production/logistics etc...

:t-cheers:

LOL, no they don't.
BMW = BMW
MB = MB
Audi = SEAT, VW, SKODA :D :D

Wow man. I just came across this now and just a week back I was at my local audi dealer drooling at the exterior of the A4. I do agree with you, the interior did feel plasticky. Now I know I'm gonna be hated on by most people on here for what I write next, but please, it's not my opinion but my sisters.

Just a back story. My sister had to take her car in for service at the Acura dealership which is right next to the AUDI dealer, since they are owned by the same owner. I made her check out the AUDI from the inside and this is after we just got done checking out the new Acura TL. She sat in it and then I asked her for her opinion. The points she made were pretty thorough. She said that it had way less buttons than the TL but it looked more plasticky and plain. Also, the seats were not as comfy as the TL.

Well I'm happy to report that our C-class interior remains in absolutely perfect condition, which is more than can be said for my aunts E90 3-series.

God only knows what has happened to that Audi.
