BMW Z4 E89 - indeed a sublime design. Needed a cloth top and 100 kg's less weight.

Why no Ferrari F355? The 288 GTO (gorgeous!) and 308 GTB are so close in design language that I'd have forced myself to omit one.

A bit late, but I completely agree. Prettiest mid engine Ferrari, ever. Be coupe, targa, spider:

I wouldn't include the 488 that's on the list, either.
That bloodline ranking according to me:
-F355
-458
-308/328
-348
-F8
-488
-SF90

Regarding ranking mid-engined V8 Ferraris, I think my list almost the opposite in ranking.

- the 360 Modena and the F430 are probably my favorite because they had emphasized lines that were more curvy and voluptuous on what were more lines that were dictated by a T-square. I still love the air intakes above the rear wheels as that element and the curvy lines felt like hommage to Ferraris of the 1960s, i.e. 250LM, etc. A 430 Scuderia is still lust-worthy as does a good job of straddling a position where the lines both taut and aggressive. Also I still remember getting butterflies sitting in a 16M, it just felt right.

- F355 was almost perfect. Great, great proportions. For some reason still though, the air intake inlet in the doors annoys me but less so nowadays and consider it an eccentric design detail.

- the 458/488/F8. They had some great details, but found the proportions a bit off, namely the ratio of the somewhat stubby length before A-pillar relative to the length aft of the A-pillar. The 458, especially in Speciale form, is my favorite of the trio.

- the 308/328 was a formative car for me as it was a) the first Ferrari I saw in real life. That's just a milestone moment in a young lad's life, b) I had a poster of that car in my youth, and c) Magnum PI :D .

- SF90 Spider only. The weird, convolute rear deck is only justified if there's a retractable hard-top.

- the 348, while the direct predecessor to the F355, just looks kit-car-like to me.

Many beautiful cars up to a certain point in time, like around 2015. Very few new good cars after that, few most memorable being 4C, A110, RC/F and LC500.

Does a car have to be sensually curvy as a prerequisite to being deemed beautiful? When it comes to cars - what does "beautiful" really mean?

Traditionally beautiful:
"Pretty"
"Sensual"
"Graceful"
"Elegant"
"Serene"
"Exquisite"

but also beautiful:
"Handsome"
"Sculpted"
"Beguiling"
"Arresting"
"Spunky"
"Athletic"
"Powerful"

Indeed-"voluptuous" and "Rubensesque" constitute "beauty" for many, while others prefer "slender" and "toned". Highly attractive Burlesque performer versus highly attractive pole dancer.

...and speaking of pretty mid-engined Ferraris':

Some say Dino-Some say Ferrari-Some-including myself say both.

It took me a while to get on board with the Dino's styling. Despite my affinity for more "curvy" or "voluptuous" lines on Ferraris, I thought those front fenders were too much. Also before knowing what a Dino was besides the lovable dinonsaur-dog on the Flintstones, I knew what a Nissan (Datsun) 240Z was, and reminded me of that. Which isn't a bad thing, but at the time I wasn't fond of the 240Z's lines compared to what came after for the Z, and thus I wasn't a fan of the Dino. Some time later though, with more insight, I became fond of both.
