The Honda Jazz has arrived!

congrats and a nice car mate. I drove a Honda Jazz for my driving lessons and it is pretty much the perfect city car. Easy to handle, very good visiability, extremely easy to park and a spacious interior. Do u have a leather steering wheel? cause the one i drove had a plastic one and my hands slipped off the wheel while cornering. I have one minor note on the CVT gearbox. It takes a while to hook up when i launched it from standing still, not that you will ever do. Enjoy your car mate!

Thanks dude. :t-cheers:

I'm not sure if its leather, but it definitely isn't plastic. It's a rubbery material that has many dimples on it.

Congratulations Mirage77. Fabulous choice and a fool-proof one at that. The Honda Jazz currently holds the number 1 spot in the South Africa JD Power survey. It's a great car with loads of character, practicality and youthful appeal. Oh, and I hear it's much nicer to drive than an equivalent Polo, Getz, Clio, Yaris and so on...

Thanks for your effort to write down your honest comments, I really appreciate them. :usa7uh:

I agree about the doors, it didn't feel very right to me, but after a while you'll have bigger things to worry about than about your car's door design. :D

Well, 81bhp is more than enough I reckon, because this car's just a notch above a ton so it's actually quite zippy. It feels responsive and lively when compared to the heavyweight Phaeton, which even though has more power and claims a faster century sprint, feels like a slug. CVT is excellent for smoothness and fuel consumption.

Yes, we're now doing 2k-3krpms... Don't dare to push it just yet. :t-cheers:

It has always been a hallmark of Honda interiors that everything is simple to use, foolproof and ergonomic.

81 hp for daily use is good enough, since the car is very light. My daily drive is 800kg with only 78 hp, and it's fast enough for me.

Now, the interior looks fine. Not full with buttons and staff, but it sure is ergonomic and practical. It also looks sporty, but not luxurious.

And about the doors. At first, i didn't like the doors of my S60, too, but now that 2 years have passed, i feel ok with them. To tell you the truth, my good old clio, has more practical doors, though, not that heavy... The doors is a minor thing to complain about.

For once again, congratulations, and enjoy!
