I think both teams are still doing very vell...

Deutschland... I'd say any team in the cup would have had a really hard time against them today.

I mean this is how you ****** play the game..
Go Germany:D:D...i loved it..its worldcup for real now..:)

Serbia dissappointed me and i was forced to be on Ghanas side after a while..cause frankly they were just BETTER..

Algeria match was the most booring to date..

Tomorrow..

ORANJE!!!!!!:D:D:D
Oh and im with camerun and Paraguay for the other 2 matches:)

FIFA or SA is talking about it right now... to not allow that thingy..
The players can't hear eachother ...

No they're not. The rule is if any one throws one on the pitch, then it gets banned.:t-cheers:

I don't think so. I watch the games with the sound turned off, those horns ruin the game.

I'm all for a ban. Let the fans sing instead, that is nice.

Yeah im all for the local flavour in a world cup..every country has its own way..
But if this is the flavour of SA..im eagerly awaiting Brazil 2014..
Cause this is just fackin stupid

The atmosphere in South Africa at the moment is fantastic. Everywhere you go there are cars sporting mirror socks bearing national flags (mainly South African of course, some Portugal, some England, some Italy and a few Brazil) and window-mounted flags. It's World Cup fever for sure.

The roads were practically deserted this morning. All our schools - public and private - are off for the duration of the tournament and this goes a long way to relieving congestion but I also think a helluva lot of people are just "zonked out" from the festivities overload. That SA goal against Mexico sent a wave of elation and euphoria through the venue I attended with my wife and friends. It was amazing - all races, all creeds coming together in a northern suburb venue in Johannesburg with something wonderful in common: to get behind our boys and support the country we love.

How was Germany's clinical and emphatic drubbing of Australia. Battling to concentrate and poor on field communication as a result of the vuvuzelas? If any country would've struggled with this, I'd have expected it to be Germany. And yet, no. The Germans were phenomenal. So, the vuvuzela certainly doesn't make for perfectly pleasant viewing - I admit this - but it does lend a unique South African flavour to the experience. And this is what this World Cup is about - a new way to experience the event. Brazil in 2014 will no doubt have its own unique background cacophony too, I'm certain...

So, we're off to Rustenburg on the weekend to watch Ghana vs. Australia armed with 1 vuvuzela and four pairs of earplugs!

Viva Italia for tonight! [I'm not Italian in any way but so much about their people, their country, their food, their cars, their language and so on makes them one of my favourites. After SA of course... ;) ]

Go BAFANA BAFANA!

I'm really looking forward to the Netherlands - Danmark game. Could be a good display of rather happy football!

P.S.

Ban the horns :D Singing and playing of music, fine. Horrific noice, not.

Hey guys i went to my first match yesterday it was a crap match though..the Algeria vs slovenia match..toatlly lethargic performance from both sides..

We later went to a sports Bar and watched the germany match WOW they were brilliant..They are my second team after my own local Bafanna Baffana..The athmosphere in SA is just amazing everywhere..

As for the Vhuvuzelas i know and understand many off you dont like them but hey guys its a flavour off our local football and has become huge in the past year or so..the suprising thing is too so howmany foreigners are blowing them and going crazy to use them..While it is noisy i must say its awesome being in the grounds..

GO SA
GO GERMANY
GO VHUVUELA........:t-cheers:

I understand that it could be a nice touch for someone attending but to anyone watching the games on TV, the noice is a disaster.

To me, a nice flavour could be something like England fans chanting "Rule Britannia" or Brazil fans playing a bit of samba. Those are both nice additions, flavours, not totally dominating the experience.

I just hate them and hope they will be gone for future cups.

I know i'm just whining now, but I had looked forward to this so much that I forgot about the game-ruining horns.

:t-cheers: Germany is my international team also! (Apart from our local Bafana Boys that is);)

What can I ad? 1 st for Africa...once in a lifetime...proud to be a part of it!:t-roses:

Yeah human me too i am so proud of SA and off Africa its just awesome..

And the stadiums i mean the Durban stadium is just fantastic i have too say the country is buzzing....

Down with vuvuzelas! They lost us the game dammit! :)

But in all seriousness, really disappointing stuff from the Aussies. I really thought we could at least hold them to a draw with our usually stingy defense, but as seen with our warm-up game against the USA, we really are lacking the speed and efficiency to truly compete against the powerhouses of football. It didn't help that our sole striker was harshly red-carded and the only other forward options were left to warm the bench.

I can only hope we can do a better job against Ghana on the weekend. Seeing their game against Serbia earlier though, I'm not so sure we're going to able to pull off a win.

^ Yeah mate, Cahill's straight-out red card was too harsh. Sorry for that because he's said to be the livewire playmaker in the Aussie team. The worst of the few bad decisions out of the otherwise consistent and justifiable infringement punishment doled out over the weekend.

Awh! The stadiums is world class.

The opening ceremony was stunning! We did ourselves, Africa and FIFA proud and definitely impressed the world!

Seems like my side lost this one :eusa_doh:

Sepp Blatter has said that the horns are an African tradition and that they will be allowed. A tradition with 7 years worth of history.

An optimistic intrepretation of the statement is that the horns could be banned from cups not played in Africa.
