Hmm, you had the Diamondback right? Possibly, got a parts list?
Buying a better, used bike is in most cases smarter than blowing a fortune on upgrades.

Yes. The drivetrain is made mostly of Sram X3 and cheaper :p

Yeah, would be maybe wisest to just change the bike entirely then TBH, no offense. Those budget bikes are great for introducing you to the sport, but not much else :/ I started with a budget hardtail too, then went over to a 160mm fullsuspension bike, and now I built this current one. This sport is so addicting o_O

No offense taken, my dear friend :)

Yeah, that's my second thought. Stupid as I am, the bike has a sentimental value that I need to get over first.

I've only parted from one out of nine bikes that I've had ^^ The one that I did part from didn't have any sentimental value, although it taught me a lot and was my first fullsuspension bike, it was a total of four months out of twelve in service, which pretty much ruined it for me :D Got to hate Specialized's custom sized parts..

Buying one of these frames, only certain parts are these:

Gears (1x10) Sram XO
Saint Cranks
Mavic 823:s on Hope 2 Evo hubs (tubeless set up)
Avid Code R brakes to begin with
Raceface Atlas FR bar
Straitline Vertical Wedge stem

Still wondering if I'll get Totems or 36 Vans.

Super stoked :D

//Yeah, its blue but planning on painting it light green, same graphics.

Eikös Jopo olis parempi? :D

No no! :D Mut kyll mull ois mieluummi tsygä kuin bemmi :) Siis mun tsygä, ei ehk iha Jopo :p Four wheels can move your body, two wheels will move your soul :p

Hei poju, älä hauku Jopoo, se oli legenda jo syntyessään :D Vois kyhää joskus maastoversiollisen Jopedin :D If you have four wheels, you can rule the world, and be like a king. And of course move you're body and soul with four wheels ;)

Joutuisit vaa lopult vaihtaa joka osan, kelloo lukuunottamatt :P Joo, bemmi saattaa, Audist en oo varma ;)

Got a new Sram X9 Type2 derailleur, as my old Sram X0 DH derailleur decided to die :( Can't notice a difference TBH, the new clutch systems are overrated I'd say.. Did cope today's 12 hour cycling well though, no complaints at all.

And I just love Fat Alberts. Copes well on rocks, in mud, on dust, roots and hardpack, roll well, are reasonably light and survive a beating (rather big gaps, drops to flat et.c.). Couldn't be happier with them.

Next upgrades: Vivid Air, new SDG i-fly

@Padi me o'l mucker a 12 Hour race!? Your fit and decicated for sure. Great bike and thanks for sharing!(y)

Friend of mine is the sole distributor for Shimano parts here in SA, had learnt a lot about cycling from him. Though admittedly I am too lazy to get in the saddle myself.

Mikä muuten oli se suomalainen pyörävalmistaja, joka teki rungot kokonaan hiilikuidusta, ja hinnat oli lähellä kymppitonnis? Sorry for the others, if I didn't speak in English :)
