Do i have to say i fell in love with it? Its so damn nice!!!!! Difference is, if i happen to get a.car and it is a 208 it has to be a manual... That one is AT, tho i guess those paddle shifters will be missed from a aesthetic point of view...
Tho it still have that reliability thing... Just talked about it to a cousin that owned a 207, she said the car is a lemon, the body metal is weak and burglars just pull the doors out with their hands... Is a 208 worth 60k is what comes to my mind...
The 208 is a very nice car indeed, and the most "premium" feeling along VW, off all mainstream brands. I've read the Mercosur 208 isn't build to the same standard of the european one. The firsts 208 that came into my country and the one I drove, were euros, so can't tell you if the locallly made is worth the 60k reais. Never mind the auto tranny on Peugeot, they aren't good at it, but there's a new Aisin 6 speed auto tranny which is getting very good reviews. The old 5 speed ones, both auto and manual, aren't very good. When I drove the 308 and compared to my Megane, just about everything on the 308 felt better or more refined, except the transmission. The Renault one is very good and the Pug, very wobbly and rubbery feeling, with loooooong throw. Both 208 and 308 ride quite well, but you have to get used to the small steering way, particulary on the 208.
