For the record its my first Ford and the car been flawless since day one.
Also, 5 years warranty included (at least in Sweden).

I've driven 208 (but GTi), not my cup of tea.

No, I don't like the 208 either. Driven it a couple of times but don't like it much.

Fiesta would be a much better choice then.

The 208 is amazingly boring, especially if you keep in mind how good the 206 was to drive. The Fiesta is probably the most fun to drive, but I don't know if I would want to live with such an interior in the long run.

Don't you get the Clio over there? :D

My experiences for advicing the Peugeot are based on the 206 GTi. I actually don't know how the 208 is driving.

We get the Clio II :(
The Renault strategy for the south American market is pathetic, rebadging Dacias and selling as Renault for big money.

I don't know the prices, but I'd also have a good look at the Suzuki Swift and Kia Picanto or Rio.

Yeah, as Giannis said the Fiesta will probably be the most fun to drive but the interior is an eye sore IMO. Have you considered pre-owned/slightly used cars or any 2nd hand cars at all?

The Clio II is the worst. The first one is kind of ok and the third is a very descent city car with a fun-to-drive aspect. I'm thinking of getting myself a used one possibly towards the end of 2015.

As for the Swift, it's a truly great car, from every aspect. It would be my first choice, hadn't it be for its looks. The 1.6 Sport one, even comes with forged pistons!

We do get the clio tho it looks like a refreshed v6 clio and it comes with a 1.0 8v engine... Sucks...

I did... But in brazil people are usually unresponsible with their cars, so its not a smart thing to do, buying a used car...

Guys, i got a question about the 208... I see that a lot of people are voting for it, is peugeot a reliable brand outside america? Cuz like, all the french brands, at least on brazil are famous for being problematic! I saw a bunch of people saying the 208 is a huge set up! Telling me not to even think of getting it... Tho i think it is the best looking car in this list, i didnt saw that coming....

It's the same in Europe. French cars are not considered as reliable... but it depends.
I think Renault is way better reliability wise tho. It's the only french car I'd buy.

Well thats if it is a real renault right? Cuz here the sandero, which is in the price range im looking for, is a renault! Even the duster is a renault here, not dacia!

Yes, I'm familiar with that but then again the Dacia is pretty much a cheaply made Renault :)
If they are trying to sell them with a Renault price tag then it really isn't worth it tho.

As for the 208... I like it... But that unreliability factor keeps me away from it...
The fiesta, is a great option apparently, tho im not a fan of the dashboard nor am i a fan of the noise it makes when u switch the key to turn the battery on, sounds like a nintendo rsrsrsrs....
Now the one car thats winning it for me is the hyundai, tho i never got to test drive any of them, so im speculating by visuals, equipments, paper performance and all these statistic things... Who knows? Maybe i'll get to test drive all of them and the hyundai turns out to be the least fun to drive? All i can say for now is, by my cousin's hb20, the steering is too light, a baby could turn the steering wheel while on idle with its nails!
