TESTDRIVE: 2004 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG (W211)

The steering was light but responsive. The facelifted E-Class I drove feels sportier than the original W211 hence the E63 AMG also must have a tighter steering response.

Oh, see I haven't driven the FL W211 yet, so I wouldn't know. But from the reviews of the E63 it seems that AMG has spent even more time on it so the steering feel is better than before.

Agreed. Basically emphasis on better handling.
