Elon Musk is one of the greatest human beings on planet earth I don’t really get the hate.
The guy has done more successful things in his life than every person in this forum combined. He’s a total G. Not really sure how you come to any other conclusion unless you’re completely deluded.

Being Bolivian means next to nothing in this day and age; millions of Trump-supporting Americans' knowledge of American politics is equivalent to a chimpanzee tribe's—or, more likely, even less and worse than that social organism's. You, like all others, speak, and *can* speak, based on your race, class, and gender interests and awareness, and I can see that you're not on the right side of those positionalities in Bolivian politics. Indeed, if you were a so-called protest organizer in those events, you are either a brainwashed juvenile man with dubious beliefs or a dangerous goon who wouldn't boast of such things in the first place. It takes a quick check to find the video of the crimes committed by such "protest organizers"; I doubt that you'd be willing to share them here.Typical, 1st world-deluded, out of reality bullshit.
I'm bolivian; born in 1981 and lived there until last year. Your zero edge kind of articles are so biased is beyond pathetic.
Do you even know an extremely similar situation happened on 2003, when then president Sanchez de Lozada resigned, amid the protests, in that time lead by Morales?
So according to your logic, Morales also promoted a coup? Did USA and "Christian right wing" paid him?
And the protests that lead to Morales resigning in 2019, started way back in 2017, when the supreme court violated both the constitution and the 2016 referendum poll (on amending the constitution) allowing Morales for seeking a 4th term in a row ( ala Castro, Chavez, Putin, etc, etc)
I do know that quite well, because I was very active, organising protests. Where are my millions by Musk?
Should I write him on Twitter for not paying me?
PS: I'M BEING SARCASTIC, just in case you're not able to get it (you don't seem so)
I appreciate your grit and grace in such conversations. Between the many Musk Youth, the dude with the profile of a sexual predator, and the other one with the profile picture of a genocidal former president, I find this forum truly overwhelming at times and even professionally dangerous. The worst part is that such characters' opinions about automotive design, markets, and engineering are often as illuminating as their political views. I, for one, will not engage in political debates here again. This may be true, but quite how you equate that to being one of the greatest human beings on planet earth I don't even want to understand.
I guess we just respect different things Jo.
You accuse Musk of being a sexual predator while defending Morales, on the same thread?the dude with the profile of a sexual predator
Lots of verbal rambles and labels (you sound like yet another sociologist/anthropologist), yet you haven't probe me wrong.Being Bolivian means next to nothing in this day and age; millions of Trump-supporting Americans' knowledge of American politics is equivalent to a chimpanzee tribe's—or, more likely, even less and worse than that social organism's. I've watched that video many times.I'd recommend people don't post the video here without sufficient warning...
... but **** me, that is actually pretty scary.
In a lot of these incidents its easy to place the blame on people hitting the accelerator instead of the brake, but this car had almost drawn to a stop already, before taking off like a missile for the equivalent of what looks like a city. Really unfortunate, but to be fair to the driver, he did as well to avoid as many people as he did.
In one pedal driving in a Tesla, would you applying the brakes to bring the vehicle to a dead stop, if you'd mostly slowed down?
I've watched that video many times.
Nothing seems logical to me.
1. Why there are no brake lights?
2.A brake failure and a accelerator failure , both in the same time ?!
Ok , let's say the car turned into a Terminator and decided to accelerate itself . The brake is mecanical BEFORE it's electronic. So even if you would accelerate , you could still brake !
And by the way , in a Tesla it's impossible to accelerate with the both pedals pressed .
3.The car it's modified . Different brake lights . Different rims. More reasons to believe that something is out of place
4.Ok , brake & accelerator failure . What about shift gear? He could have turned it to neutral.
5. WHY ALWAYS CHINA??? "Tesla has faced claims of brake failure in China before."
This accident happened in a kind of rural part of China. Odd? Maybe....
And , again . Brake failure. But acceleration failure ? This is new...
All of these are hypothetical. That guy drove A LOT. He had loooots of "one, two, three" to manage a solution....I've watched it back now and read some more about it, and what you say is correct, nothing seems logical. Personally I think it's naive to rule out mechanical/software failure, and had the acceleration not been sustained for so long, I'd say it's naive to rule out a driver panicing - but then he'd almost stopped, and in ~30 seconds didn't do anything different with his feet on his way towards Vmax? I'm not sure I buy that...
I've suffered complete brake failure on my old Peugeot 106 at highway speeds, as an inexperienced driver, and managed to deal with it, I've also 'gotten confused' as an experienced driver switching between left foot braking in an auto, and right foot braking in a manual before, and I also know what a slack throttle cable and busted butterfly return spring feel like, and nothing about that scenario is what I think anyone would instinctively do, other than try and steer past obstacles.
Let me ask you this Kiki. If you're in your Model X, pulling up to a junction in a city, you've got the wife and kids in the car, and you've coasted to nearly a standstill by staying off the accelerator, maybe you braked without thinking, maybe not, and then the car takes off like you've booted it hard - so, within about..... one................................................ two..................................................... three............................. <- this long, you're already going so fast that ENCAP ratings for passenger injury/survival have ceased being relevant.... what do you do?
All of these are hypothetical. That guy drove A LOT. He had loooots of "one, two, three" to manage a solution....
Brake , neutral , even slam into something "softer".
PS: The Tesla brake is so mechanical , that on AP , when the car brakes , the pedal moves ( not seen this on many cars)
So again : absolutely impossible for that car to have a Terminator-like acceleration , and brake failure , both at the same time.
I did not answer straight because I don't have an answer to something hypothetical. In either case, you didn't answer my question, unless your answer was to just be in denial of the situation until you'd killed people and had to ditch your car, and family, into a potentially solid object....
I did not answer straight because I don't have an answer to something hypothetical.
The discussion was other . Too many reasons that this guy was well above and beyond "hypothetical" . It's factual for now ( Tesla gave logs ) . The guy did not hit the brakes. Simple.
I don't know China well , but in Europe , drugs & driving are more and more friends in the last years...Could be
