Teased: 2015 Renault Talisman

Don't be worried the new Espace is very well sold with higher price than the Talisman.

Its the successor of the Laguna (a Renault model which was in the first generation very popular, but then because of the 2.generations problems and bad quality and also the 3.generation very bad in sales - so thats why Renault has changed the name - before the Laguna there was the R 21)

That's unfortunately true. The scrap yards are full of second generation Lagunas, which was quite possibly one of the most unreliable cars ever made. It was a safe car, though. It was in fact the first car ever to achieve a five star EuroNCAP safety rating.

My father has one from 2003 and has been almost trouble free all these years.
What is disappointing though is the interior, which is not abused, but it deteriorating at a constant rate.

At the local Renault garage at which I am a frequent visitor with my Clio there's a 2002 Laguna that went through a crash at a safety barrier @ 160 km/h, went off the highway and rolled quite a few times in the nearby field ending up on a electricity pole. The driver got out with just a few scratches. That accident was all over the news last year. Next time my Clio breaks down I'm taking a photo of the said Laguna.
