Boxster/Cayman (987) Steve Sutcliffe test drives the new Porsche Cayman and falls in love

The Porsche 987 is the internal designation for the second generation Porsche Boxster sports car, built from 2004 to 2012. In 2005, it was joined in the range by the new Cayman fastback coupé (project 987c). Production: July 2004–2012 (Boxster), August 2005–2012 (Cayman). It was succeeded by the Porsche 981 in 2012.

Porsche recently introduced an all new Cayman. Featuring an all new, and 40% stiffer than the first generation, chassis and new design, we were expecting it to be a softer version of the first Cayman. Thankfully Mr. Sutcliffe proves us quite wrong in the above video, in which he fells in love with the new Cayman, and especially the PDK transmission. He is full of praise for the torque vectoring system, as well as the engine of the S version.

Watch him in the video explaining his opinion in detail while powersliding a yellow Cayman S. You can also join our discussion about the new Cayman in our official thread (here).
