Re: C63 AMG Wagon Spied!

^That does looks really good. Not AMG, except for the sports package. They painted the wheels black because it's a pre release car here in the states(Michigan plates there).

New C-Class Estate Exposed

Mercedes C-Class Estate Completely Uncovered

Seen here for the first time with no disguising at all is the new 2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate. We now see more and more of the saloons on the roads – and we expect the wagon to arrive later in the autumn of this year after its official presentation at the Frankfurt Show in mid-September. We were lucky to shoot the car in Stuttgart earlier this week in full showroom trim. Like with the brand-new saloon, buyers will have the option between the four-cylinder C180 (156 bhp, compressor) or C200 (184 bhp, compressor) and the six-cylinder C230 (204 bhp), C280 (231 bhp) or C350 (272 bhp). Diesel enthusiasts might prefer the C200 CDI (136 bhp), C220 CDI (170 bhp) or C320 (V6, 224 bhp).

Re: New C-Class Estate Exposed

OMG is this real..
that is one of the UGLYIEST rears ove EVER seen..
OMG.. what a sad sad thing

Re: New C-Class Estate Exposed

The rear didn't turn out as nice as some (early) CGIs suggested... :t-hands: It's too bland in my opinion. The design doesn't "flow" :eusa_thin

The previous generation was very sexy and elegant compared to the 3er Touring, but now I would prefer the 3er design without a doubt. Audi still designs the best wagons I suppose.

Re: New C-Class Estate Exposed

Still have to get used to the boxy design of the C-Class... the tall hood (I know, safety regulations, but still), the squarish side mirrors (look waaay too big to me), etc.

It used to be so nice:

Re: New C-Class Estate Exposed

Uhh.. austere, bland and for the most part, ugly.

The W203 worked much better as an estate in my opinion.

Re: New C-Class Estate Exposed

I dont think the design is suprising, pretty much as expected, at least for me.

Re: New C-Class Estate Exposed

Oh dear. That doesn't work at all. The D-pillar is all wrong for this design and the transition from gorgeous sedan sees much of that aesthetic appeal lost in translation.

BMW's sublimely styled Touring and Audi's class-defining Avant punt this one on to the bottom step of the podium.

Re: New C-Class Estate Exposed

The C-pillar looks terrible and the lines of the windows and whole green house scream previous generation E-class. I'm very disappointed, especially since the sedan is dead sexy. Then again I don't care so much since estates are important to me.

Re: New C-Class Estate Exposed

Like the sedan much better, which is strange, I usually prefer wagons - but then again W204 never looked that good to me with out the sportier grill. And *** is wrong with the door handles - they seem to be randomly scattered.

Yes, me too... I'm a big fan of wagons from both an elegance and practicality point of view. This car looks like it's got the practicality thing waxed but the elegance component is limited to the column header in the spec sheet.

I hate that D-pillar design - it's so Opel AsVectra-ish...

Triple blech...

Re: New C-Class Estate Exposed

I think that the current BMW 3er wagon is terrible from the back. It looks chunky and totally 'not-sexy'. I wasn't really expecting much from Mercedes. They don't seem to give much care to the designs of their wagons as much as they used to. IE W124 wagon. Mmmm, classic design right? The current E class wagon however is very appropriate and a huge improvement over the W210. IMO.

Re: New C-Class Estate Exposed

The preportion for the rear looks wrong. It looks all bubbly in the rear. Not good.

Re: New C-Class Estate Exposed

Seriously i find nothing wrong with the design.:t-hands:

Of course it's not the most beautiful wagon ever but it's good enough.:D

Re: New C-Class Estate Exposed

Pretty ugly. Like all MB wagons ever.

Re: New C-Class Estate Exposed

It can definitely not beat that beauty. It's just so elegant.

Re: New C-Class Estate Exposed

We also have to consider that the S204 on display there is an entry level CLASSIC trim level model, which looks bland (even the Classic trim W204 sedan looks quite bland. I am sure the car will look much better once you pay more and select Elegance/Avantgarde on the trim level box when you're buying this thing. But for now, I agree that the W204 sedan does look better - and I usually love wagons more than sedans! :eek2:

Classic trim W204 sedan. Bland? Yep. Looks much classier and exciting in Elegance and Avantgarde trim.
