And therefore I salute BMW AG, their product portfolio planners, designers, engineers and management.
BMW always had, from the beginning, from the very first and MOST BRILLIANT and MORE SUCCESSFULL - E53 X5 - set that exact tone.
BMW also and with good reason called theis X-drive variants: S A V's. Sport Activity Vehicles. Not promosing or trying to make anyone believe that they are Bundu Bashers, no sir! They are BMW's at heart and thank you BMW, for at least trying to make the practical "Big SUV" as BMW as possible.
And I will repeat this: The more BMW look back to its roots in what is the heart and sole of The Ultimate Driving Machine AND the more the BMW distance and diffrentiate itself from Mercedes-Benz's image, the better for me -
The Customer who is the core to the brand survival and the better for the BMW brand.
A BMW customer does not want nor need an SUV, between LAND ROVER / RANGE ROVER, TOYOTA, JEEP, FORD, SUZUKI, SUBARU, VAG, MERCEDES-BENZ, MAHINDRA, FOTON etc. there is more than enough players with brilliant products to satisfy your need to tackle the wilderness.
BMW, may God forbid, is not one of them
I rest my case.
