M6 [Spyshots] BMW M6 F12/F13 (Spy pics, Info & Impressions)

The BMW M6 is a high-performance version of the 6 Series marketed under the BMW M sub-brand from 1983 to 2019 (with a hiatus from 1990 to 2004). Introduced in the coupe body style, the M6 was also built in convertible and fastback sedan ('Gran Coupe') body styles for later generations. An M6 model was built for each of the first three generations of the 6 Series. Production of the M6 ended in 2019 and it was replaced by the BMW M8 (F91/F92/F93) in 2019. Official website: BMW M

These 3D computer generated images (CGI) were created by graphics artist Guillaume Mouton in an attempt to visualize the next-generation BMW 6-Series Coupe and in particular, the top-notch M6 model. Mouton seems to have blended the shape of the long gone 8-Series Coupe with elements from the current 6-Series and the 4door CS Concept. Overall, not bad at all but we would have preferred a totally different design for the front-end, one that wouldn’t remind us of the current 6er.

The kidney grill is supposed to be bigger, not smaller.

Love how they took the article from us and no link. Nice :)

Re: 2012 BMW M6 – Rendering Speculations

I sometimes hope for media publications to stop giving this as a basis to what BMW is heading to. Unfortunately every forum has people who cannot read or bother to read the text on a certain model - Some comments border on - another ugly Bangle BMW! and it's a picture of a disguised prototype in it's glory advertising bulk????

As for this image it is not the way we are heading with the 6er - It will definetley not showcase Bling with chrome wheels and slammed to a few iniches to the ground. As to the artists preference , Ideally Kids could probably do better with their crayolas and there is a far more impressive designer here already who understands coherence and harmony.

For the next 6er look at the current one because it will be an evolution of today's great looking model. This is a mess , its the kind of impression BMW old school fans yearn for , But no way is it going to turn out like what they expect.

Looks NOTHING like an 6, but it's looking more than GOOOD!
 I personally see a BMW with Soul...:usa7uh::usa7uh:
That is not daily news, I always call BMW's for Machines...

Now BMW GET A GRIP!

Re: 2012 BMW M6 – Rendering Speculations

I am an old school BMW fan, but I don't like what I see on the pics... the rear might be an improvement to the current 6 series, but the front is not really my cup of tea. Great photoshop though I wish I could do that too....

:) Hi Scott.

The artist just wanted to show some renderings, that's all. He personally told me in an email that there is probably no way the next BMW M6 will look like that, but it is still an interesting concept to look at.

We just wanted to give him the opportunity to expose his work, nothing more.

Anyway...it's still a long way to go until the next one comes out, so let's all stop the silly season :)

Re: 2012 BMW M6 – Rendering Speculations

It looks very decent even though it does not look like a M6. :usa7uh:

I´ve heard the new 6 series would come out in 2010 as 2011 model....
Now I hear 2012!!?? What gives??
Does anybody know ???

BMW M6 Concept Renderings Speculates the Future

This image published here of a next-generation M6 is pure speculation. Entirely speculative we must declare without equivocation. It may be fun to look at but it is unlikely BMW will make such a radical shift in design for the next-generation 6-Series.
Still, this artist rendering does take BMW design to very daring level, yet one that still holds consistency with the brand's heritage. It seems almost as if this is where the 6-Series development would logically lead to if the BMW design department were taken over by a tuning house. Certainly it's a very curvacious styling job.
The next-generation 6-Series will likely be tamer than this (even the M6 variant), taking far more subtle styling cues from the current 7-Series as well from the CS Concept. It is expected to debut sometime next year.

Done any doping?

That car would look so funny in the London Olympic's which BMW is sponsoring with cars.

Looks like the bastard child of a GT-R and a Hyundai Genisis.
The GT-R refusing to be the father because of Genesis promiscuity.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
