X3/X4 [Spyshots] BMW iX4 2026 (NA7)

The BMW X3 is an SUV manufactured by BMW since 2003, based on the BMW 3 Series platform. Now in its fourth generation, BMW markets the car as a Sports Activity Vehicle, the company's proprietary descriptor for its X-line luxury vehicles. The BMW X4 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW since 2014. The X4 is widely considered as a "coupé" version of the X3, trading its practicality with a sloping rear roof which offers a sportier styling. BMW has indicated 2025 will be the X4's final model year.
Not that it’s saying much but it does look a good deal sleeker than the G02 X4. I’ve never seen the appeal of SACs but for whatever reason they do seem to attract certain buyers.

To be honest, the NA7 iX4 does look good, with its futuristic, crisp styling, all in all better than today's G02 X4. However, I am really worried about its almost entire resemblance with the iX3 (apart from the roofline). I still simply cannot see how BMW can successfully differentiate the design of its NK models as they were boasting in this article from BMWBLOG. I mean yes, there will be a clear differentiation between sedans & SAVs/SACs, but within the specific lineup, it will more or less be a case of "same design, different size", apart from a few individual styling features.

It looks definitely better and more harmonic in the design silhouette compared to the G02 X4 with its "huncback". The X4 feels now more like the first gen F26 X4 which is the best looking X4 so far. I wish they made a slightly longer hood as that gives the car the best proportions, but so far so good.
