E-Class W213 [Spyshots] 2020 Mercedes Benz E-Class W213 Facelift

The W213 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the fifth generation of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, sold from 2016 as a 2017 model. It succeeded the W212/S212 E-Class models. The coupe/convertible models share the same platform as the sedan/wagon, in contrast to the previous generation. The high-performance Mercedes-AMG E63 and E63S versions of the W213 have been available as well from 2016 (as a 2017 model), and these are the only versions with V8 engines.

According to Auto Motor und Sport, 2020 Mercedes E Class will have similar headlights like the new A Class & CLS.
Pretty big changes i think.

c238 E Coupé bald Facelift?

I don't think it could be such a drastic change as it would mean changing body parts I think.
The new headlights treatment are the same with the new GLC facelift. So i think this is possible to suit the new design language.

It looks more like what they did with the W212 FL.

I could see this being the new MB front end and having the GLC and new C-Class following its steps.

Looks like they quickly want their cars to all look the same again, lol

I could swiftly see the difference between a CLS and E class, but that is about to change

The w212 was given a huge facelift because it needed it to remain competitive in the business.

The w213 is way more successful in terms of sales compared to the w212. Personally, I don't expect a huge change.

I also dont think they will make a dramatic change as the E class in terms of sales is already fighting for top place in the executive segment with the 5 series even after 2 years in production its sales are increasing. The things they will probably change is the interior mostly especially the infotainment system and maybe increased use of 48V mild hybrid tech for all its models. The exterior I would be very surprised if it's a big change but I doubt it.

Note these are not the headlights of the A-Class and CLS. But certanly MB is known to change the line up to have an uniform theme.

Whole car for me is meh. Design is very bland and uninspired. My salesman also says the fact that there is no 6 cylinder option other than the 43 has really hurt them.

I would also argue that te C class interior is actually if better quality and design than the E.

Well, I bet @Monster can give us a couple of hints regarding this statement...

The graphics on facelifted Mercs change but the shape (the basics) of the headlights most likely will not.
The graphics in the taillights also will change, the shapes from birth never do.

Agreed. The design of the new E sedan is unimpressive and bland. The new A6 in comparison looks much better inside and outside IMO. The E coupe is a much better effort though.

I like the design of the C interior even more than the S. The C has one of the finest interior designs in the market. The E is the worst because the blending of C and S design elements ain't happening.
