S-Class [Spyshots] 2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe/Cabriolet

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class, formerly known as Sonderklasse, is a series of full-sized luxury sedans and coupés produced by Mercedes-Benz. The S-Class is the designation for top-of-the-line Mercedes-Benz models and was officially introduced in 1972 with the W116, and has remained in use ever since. The S-Class is the flagship vehicle for Mercedes-Benz, being positioned above the other Mercedes-Benz models.
Mercedes has done the exact same as the BMW 4er , extra decoration and application that separates concept from production car by about 10%.

They are the same to me,except for a few decorations. In fact CLA even looks better without the bling bling effect.I think why people think concept always better is because the extraordinary exterior color plays a big role on visual effect.

The CLA was a full 360 from concept to production.

If the difference stays within that 10%, then this car is going to be freakishly awesome.

Looking forward to get some idea about the weight of this car. Could it be hundreds of pounds lighter than the S? The effects on performance could be awesome.

I believe on this case the Concept will be even closer to production. The 4er Concept had a different rear bumper and flashy front end. This seems to have the same rear bumper with more futuristic exhausts, and almost the same front end.

IMO the previous generations (since w140) big sedans and coupes were lacking the flamboyance element in their design although both the w221 long wheelbase sedan and the Cl coupe were attractive cars. I cannot pinpoint why I feel this way but I think that the current CLS, the W222 S and these S coupe photos have the flamboyance element in spades. (y) for the design team.

And may be that's the reason the small CLA doesn't look balanced because that car is unable to carry some of the same design elements that makes the big cars look so stylish such as the headlights design and the reverse sideline and especially the CLS style rear light treatment and for me the front grill and the bumper of CLA lack the coherence and does not gel smoothly as it was in the concept car which was really a masterpiece design.

Seen pictures of the S-Klasse Coupe - embargo later tonight.

It is the 4er Coupe concept in regards to non production elements which do not show on the prototypes.

After all these years, I think I can tell when you like some product of your main rival.

This is the case, isn´t it?

I do it is nice , perfectly balanced especially compared to the SL and SLK. I can see the S-Klasse Cabrio probably outpace the SL in design.

You say embargo tonight... does that mean it lifts tonight? Could be waking up to some S Class Coupe Concept pictures tomorrow?
