Lol. That side profile pic is clearly altered ^^. They smoothed out the shutline of the front door, and the outline of the front part of the one pice B-Pillar, to give it a true Coupe look. Also, it looks like they pasted together two different cars, due to the tinted windows on the "front" car.

Are those wheels OEM BTW? AMG Package or Standard? They look VERY aftermarket, kind cool looking in a quick-fashion funky sort of way, but surprisingly aftermarket.

Any one know if this car is longer than the outgoing model (and wider also ?) ?

I haven't spoken becoz I am speachless. This car took me by a surprize. and A pleasant one.

But I still hate droppy backs ..

It's probably spread over two pages in the brochure and whoever has scanned it has tried to edit it so it doesn't look odd.

I just put the two separate scans together in Photoshop real kwik. They are on the previous page if you care and the doorline is there I just didn't have time to perfect it since real pics are coming soon.

No shots have a Panoramic Roof?

I'm not sure if the new CLS can have a panoramic roof because of the low roof line. The problem is with the glass roof, it still needs fabric trimmings and that robs the some much needed head-room. Also, with so little head-room, the heads of the occupants might get too hot on a sunny day. Not a desirable idea......................

My current CLS has a sunroof and the amount of head-room is only marginal.

But the new CLS seems to have a higher roofline. So fingers crossed there might be a panoramic roof option.

Man..its 2 pics taped together for a scan..and then brushed over with bad PS..
Ofcourse MB wont just put a light line there to hide the shutlines..haha:)

The pic is divided in its original form..in the previous pages of this thread;)

Ah, okay, I thought M-B did that themselves or something. Seemed to be a pretty sketchy move if that were the case, lol.

^yep BMW better come up with something better than that..

Not to be a wet blanket or anything but the CLS' proportions in that PSed side profile are ever so slightly exaggerated in its favour when the two halves got spliced together. I expect the roofline and glasshouse to be slightly longer in official pics.

Not that it changes anything drastically of course; the CLS is going to be the class leader in the looks department in this segment regardless. But I do like that Gran Coupe a lot too despite it being a little less of a four-door coupe compared with the CLS. Let's face it, the CLS owns that title. The only other car that comes close is Aston's Rapide - but at what price point?

It´s incredible how good the CLS looks on this comparo, and how bad the A7 does. I mean, even the rims are amazing on this pic (my initial impression was not that good). The BMW looks much less impressive, much more normal, even being a very nice car.

Now I want to see more of the interior, the leaked pic is awesome.

I agree, not knocking GBoy for providing us with a nice PS to give us a pretty good example of how the profile will look, but it clearly looks a bit better proportioned than the actual Sedan-length and especially glasshouse length of the CLS. I don't think the actual car will look thaat well proportioned to a Coupe look.

PS'd or not, the poor A7 looks like it's about 10 years old in that comparo of the 3. I'll still reserve judgement. The CLS' is a heavily glorified pic (with the lights, PS, dramatic colors, etc.), the Bimmer doesn't look nearly Production-status, and the A7's pic is a very unaltered, basic, non-glorified example....however.... man, if the A7 stacks up like that, Audi will have wasted their time with it. The ungainly hatchback rear portion and droopy butt aren't doing it ANY favors.

This is one of my fav pics, even when the official press pics have debuted:

K-A, I know what you mean, but I guess we will see better pics of the CLS than the one of the comparo. The A7 has better angles, like this one:

But the BMW is in Concept shape, so I should look more spectacular than the production series, with normal door handles, probably normal wheels and so on.

Anyway, it is as I predicted, as I know well my tastes: The CLS is the one wich shape I like the most. The BMW is too sedanish looking, too classy, and the Audi too hatchback.

Yeah, after all's said and done I'd probably go CLS too. Something about Merc designs that always win me over when it comes to "which would you/do you want to buy", even if they're not technically what my tastes have historically tended to.

Like my older Brother said, it's like it gets in your DNA, like a warming feeling when you get into a Merc and you feel the family resemblance, as if it's part of your family itself.

Never thought I would ever say this about an AMG bodykit, but I like the standard factory bumpers better.

I want one! Looks great in the AMG pics but dont like the colour! The CLS is going to turn soo many heads. "This changes everything. Again" (Apples qoute from IP4 launch lol) I believe monday is the official release of pics and details but hopefully were going to get more leaks over the weekend :D
