Cadillac CT5 [Spy Shots] The Forthcoming Cadillac CT5

The Cadillac CT5 is a mid-size luxury car manufactured and marketed by General Motors under the Cadillac brand since 2019. It is the replacement for the Cadillac CTS.
What the f@ck is a CT5? Does anyone really even care about this garbage? They don’t sell. GM should just stick with making trucks and SUVs that crash when going around a corner. Everything else is just a waste of time.

Also the Cadillac brand is dead except for the Escalade, and with the new Navigator, they may not last that long.

Better DOA than to be KIA. Not the cars those are better than Caddys.

It's pretty difficult (if not impossible) to become "passionate" when it comes to KIA. But here in the EU, they are very competitively priced, offer one of the most comprehensive warranties available, scheduled inspection fees are low and have a relatively dense dealer network. Practical, dependable, totally unemotional cars. And there is a certain attraction in not becoming anal retentive when the car gets dinged or scratched in a tight parking garage. And after having owned more than a dozen and a half newly-purchased German premium cars over the years, requirements of practicality and priceworthiness had me buying a KIA Sportage some 2 1/2 years ago. I have no emotional connection to the car. And that is actually a bit liberating. And its' been absolutely trouble-free. Fill the tank, adhere to scheduled service, have it washed every few months...and no need to invest any further thought or effort.

No. If u mean Motor Trend's thoughts about it, they are wrong. Just rumors. He did not leave because of the cars. There were some different reasons. JDN's plan is still alive.

Motor Trend's piece came well after I heard from several sources of disagreement between Johan and other GM leaders. Yes, Johan's product plan is going to be carried out (more or less) but I didn't say he was leaving just because of the cars. He left because he asked for certain resources and was denied them. To say his product plan wasn't negatively influenced by GM's classic self-defeating thinking is sticking your head in the sand.

Oh dear...This sounds like **cough** Opel **cough** of the early 1990s' onwards.

It seems this is not a CT5 but a CT4 according to some comparison and info on another forum...

Yesterday, we brought you the newest spy shots of the upcoming Cadillac CT5. In fact, we believed that prototype shed some camouflage, thereby giving us a better look at the future Cadillac sedan… except that we were wrong. The camouflage fooled us into mistaking the CT5 for Cadillac’s forthcoming sub-CT5 model.

We currently do not know whether the sub-CT5 sedan will be called CT4 or CT3, but for the sake of simplicity, let’s refer to it as the CT4 for the time being.

Well, I'm pretty sure the CT5 is a D-class car. I'd say I know that.
If the second one is a different model then its a C-class segment. It been known that Cadillac will get an RWD based model in the C segment. Even JDN said about it one year ago... So another + for Cadillac. While the benz has an fwd fugly CLA, Caddy will have a well proportioned rwd car. Eat that germans hahah

I'll talk about this car with my insider tomorrow.

Yet MB will enjoy healthy global sales and Cadillac will...not.

Ok, no fooling around or joking.

Just got the confirmation from my friend: CT5 is a D-class car.

And yes, this is a different model (whatever it will be called:ct4 or ct3). It is a C-segment car.
The exterior dimensions are deceptive, inside they will fit to the segments I've mentioned.

As folks have noticed, they are quite different. Thats because they won't be trying to copy their models.
Interior will have lots of Escala elements.. RWD platform in this class. Damn, really nice move from Caddy. Well done.
