American cars don't exist either over here. You're quite right! We're pretty damn racist over here regarding cars![]()
I thought Ford did decently in Europe? Or are you talking purely about premium cars with that statement?

Really? Foreign cars, both European and Asian cars do better here than foreign (American or Asian) cars do in Europe. Yes, we might have our idiosyncrasies about some types of cars, but Americans have way more eclectic taste in cars than Europeans.
Really. It's actually the other way around. Americans hunting the rest of the world population.![]()
Usually the Americans proclaim anything that's not to US taste "stupid", "unattractive", "pointless" etc ... Forgetting the today's world is heavily globalized & that many products are not US-centric anymore. Some are also targeting Europe etc, while more & more of them are now tailored to suit the (East) Asians - especially to Chinese market.
If US market was the sole merit carmakers would only produce pickups, full size SUVs, large sedans, family vans, muscle cars & posh cabrios.
To each their ownPS: I don't really understand what the problem with the liftback / 5th door is. If the car has an overall attractive shape, liftback should not be a problem. Look at Tesla S, Panamera, A7 - all liftbacks & selling well in US.
Just checking because it did seem that way. Why?
We have nothing against it, some people like it and some prefer something else.I just wonder what you guys have against a 5th door??
Really.
I wonder if you can provide a citation to Americans proclaiming what you wrote.
I believe you an intelligent person;you do understand the problems with gross generalisation.
