Cooper [Spy Shots] Next-generation MINI (F6X)

That is a very controversial stance amongst Mini fans ! :D

If it drives as good or better than their last SE, I'll be happy with it.
When are they delivering the new ones or yours in particular?

I had not seen this:

Well, I had been asking for it for a long time and they granted it, change a little more radical than usual without losing anything, I have to see it in person to confirm, but it is definitely a new MINI and that big difference will surely boost sales

Pretty spectacular all around inside out. Screen remains the highlight for me, but I do see some lag here and there.. That OLED though 🥰

The new Chinese made Mini EV seems to be in deep, deep trouble. The EU is about to put the highest tariff on it, making the car close to 40% more expensive.

This will kill it if they don't transfer production back to here.

That, and the Aceman, currently built in China as well. Would hope that they are able to speed up production in Oxford. These tariffs don’t do anything than harm: European OEM’s are shifting production and so do the Chinese.

It only harms the bottom line of the shareholders of the 4 big German carmakers. Where exactly would the Chinese shift production to? Europe? And Europeans shifting production back to the EU is a good thing.

Mini also stopped making its cars at VDL Nedcar in NL. Crazy in hindsight.

A damn good looking car. One of the finest within the BMW group.
I ordered this without a test drive - it’s a seriously grown up car. It’s not a real JCW but feels as fast as my old one (not too speed obv.). And the ride is smoother. That might just be the suspension though.

Good to know that the ride is smoother. It's the one thing that's kept me away from the Mini brand. The agile/go-kart like nature is part of the brand's DNA. However where I live in the UK, the roads are not ideal for deliberately firm suspensions. Toads in switzerland look glass smooooooth.

I will wrap the roof black - red is Christmassy
Congrats! Looks fantastic!
Reminds me a bit of the beautiful San Remo Green BMW offers.
This IMO is the best looking small car on the market today. Looks premium, sporty and classy. Pity they won't make a vert EV.

They are going to be making a convertible of the J01 apparently. Agreed, it's a lovely green. Maybe it is the same.

I'm looking at swapping mine as well, I just can't build a new one to a spec I like at the moment. I hope when production starts in the UK the paint and trim options increase. That's always been the point with MINI's you can build them your way, with this there are too few options right now.

MINI

Mini (stylized as MINI) is a British automotive brand founded in 1969, owned by German BMW since 2000, and used by them for a range of small cars assembled in the United Kingdom, Austria, and the Netherlands. The word Mini has been used in car model names since 1959, and in 1969 it became a brand in its own right when the name "Mini" replaced the separate "Austin Mini" and "Morris Mini" car model names.
