Very likely across the X5 range so as to make a distinct imprint of the model's identity. However the yellow version DRLs may be an M/M Perf special feature trickling down from M's universe: CS/CSL/actual motorsport (except endurance hypercars which have white lights for identification purposes).

Exactly. GLE is pretty old at this point, and the next Q7 isn’t particularly shaping up to be excellent looking.

If we assume that the GLE is getting its second facelift, honestly, I don't think it stands any chance against the X5. It will look very outdated next to the X5. I also don't think the Q7 promises a huge success. A comfortable victory for the X5 seems likely. The GLE should have been completely redesigned. An updated interior won't save the GLE. It needs a full renewal.

It's AI and the details are off......but what's not off are the clean handle-less doors and I absolutely love it. Wouldn't have thought so but it's ultra clean to the point of looking concept-ish.

The M-B "Sensual Purity" design paradigm promoted by Herr Wagener & Co. is currently in danger of aging all the more rapidly. While a curvacious, voluptuous, bio-organic soft tissue flow may initially evoke a visual sensation of welcoming warmth, it can begin to appear "flabby" afterwards. Now that BMW and soon Audi have embarked on a far more technical, minimalistic and rigidly crisp design path, this dilemma will only become more apparent over the course of the next few years.

This also applies to the GLE Coupé facelift versus the future G66 X6 as well.

The changes done to the GLE have made the car look dated as it shares the same design theme launched on the 3 years old E-class. The FL E-class will make the GLE even more aged when it arrives next year. The interior is also a mess. The BMW X5 with iX3 influenced interior and more space and luxury will immediately make all rivals dated.

You guys do realize buyers aren't nearly as critical right? The GLE will continue to sell very well as will the GLS. In the USA the X5 and GLE are usually neck and neck sales wise. As much as we might think that it's going to be some type of epic beating, the reality is that both will continue to sell well.
