X5 (G65) [Spy Shots] Next Gen BMW X5 (G65) and iX5 - coming in 2027?


The BMW G65 is projected to be the fifth generation of the BMW X5 range. It will replace the X5 (G05). Expected to debut in Summer 2026. Production: 2027- (estimated)

Ynguldyn's update on the combustion side:

G65 engines: B57, B58, S68, likely the same generation as the ones on the current G05.
 
I spotted a couple of test cars with the current X5 and X3 support vehicles behind them in NYC traffic.

No news yet on whether Gen6 batteries will accompany the straight sixes for PHEV versions? They could either increase electric range or be substantially lighter than the current ones in the 50e.

No I meant which Audi rims do you think they resemble? Because to me these like the next generation of the X5's famous Y spoke rims. Every generation has their own variant.

The black inner part sucks though. But these clearly are the new Y spokes.

Well yes those are Y spokes too. Very tacky ones I might add.
But it's safe to say Audi didn't invent the Y spokes.

I would assume this Gen6 tech will be put to good use everywhere in the lineup. BMW has always been good at applying their new tech all across the range. And when the new tech is so much better than the old, it's even more urgent.
 
Way over the top aftermarket for my liking, and pretty ridiculous looking on such a business wagon, but to each their own.
