If the rear wasn't so high up, yeah.
Idk there's just something very stiff about the proportions. It looks like a doorstop.

The problem is the lack of curvatures. It looks like a product more than a car, if that makes sense. Doesn't have an emotional design whatsoever, that's why it looks so dull.

In any case, interesting that no one saw this coming. Looks quite stricking.

It's not i6. This car has been around for about 2 years now. Not that new to some. It's a different car than many expect. More soon hopefully.

As things currently stand at this early phase, I'm speculating a bonafide M-car that will showcase BMWs highly innovative radial-flux wheelhub e-motors along with the very latest in battery technology. Most probable would be the quad e-motor configuration with a total output of some 960-to-970 kW.

I look forward to seeing that configuration in a 4 door saloon like the iNext. I take the extra practicality over the wannabe mid-engine proportions - especially as the coupe will still be over 2,000kg and barely 150kg lighter than a saloon.

I don't know where you got those numbers from, but those e-motors are rated at 335 hp each, making a grand total of 1 Megawatt, which is 1340 hp.
That is a 40% difference with your estimate.

You keep saying this, but iNext was the name of the Vision iX before launch.

Why don't you just wait until the camo drops off more before you talk about shape and design? There's fake body panels everywhere. The whole rear, over the roof, everything.

May I remind you of what the E71 1st gen X6 looked like when it was being tested? I specifically name this car because like the upcoming NK coupe, it was a new never before seen car shape which spawned a whole segment (for better or worse):

BMW knows how to cover up its cars.

Well then...help me out here. Where is my error ? I clearly recall having read combined output figures in the 1300 PS/1320 PS or 960kW/970kW area. Should the actual figure be closer to 1340 PS or 985kW, how does one arrive at a 40% difference ? If I've had a case of brain fog, help me back onto the path. If I'm off by some 40%, we're looking at kW figures of just under 600kW for the highest total output figure posted here. That doesn't sound right somehow. Am I having a "Joe Biden Moment" ?

Exactly. The Turbo was pretty much the concept of the production M1.
iTurbo doesn't sound as good as iM1 though.
Still remains to be seen what BMW calls it but it's clear as day what this new EV is trying to mimic.
Unfortunately if they go the M1 route it will likely rule out any more affordable versions as this will most certainly serve as a Halo car for BMW.
A circa 400-500HP base model for around 70-80k would be crazy appealing but I don't see that happening.

They need to build first the base lineup of EV‘s as an alternative to the current stinker products, the last what they need is another 8er, XM flop as an EV.

Few days ago they were celebrating an nearly 30% Q2 year over year EV growth in the US selling… 14,081 units.
Even GM oversells them with 21,930 cars.
Tesla 444,000 units in the same period.

The NK is coming way too late with a tech that‘s already years on the market.
I see potential in it, but I think it‘s already impossible to translate the ICE market share into EV’s once the transition is done.
