X3/X4 [Spy Shots] BMW iX3 2025 (NA5)

The BMW X3 is an SUV manufactured by BMW since 2003, based on the BMW 3 Series platform. Now in its fourth generation, BMW markets the car as a Sports Activity Vehicle, the company's proprietary descriptor for its X-line luxury vehicles. The BMW X4 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW since 2014. The X4 is widely considered as a "coupé" version of the X3, trading its practicality with a sloping rear roof which offers a sportier styling. BMW has indicated 2025 will be the X4's final model year.

Imagine how cool and retro it would look if it had classic BMW headlights.

You have given it the automotive equivalent of “googley eyes” 😆

IMHO, as a "tech showcase", the car will will attract a great deal at attention and be a darling of the automotive media for quite some time. But in terms of exterior/interior design, we'll just have to wait and see, I suppose. Unit sales will be low due to price point and segment. But I suspect that they are of secondary interest to M-B/AMG. The potential for "tech trickle down" will be paramount.

Very many do. However, some consolation can be found in the evidence that more and more genuinely interesting SUVs/SACs are being presented. Both in terms of design as well as tech. Personally, I really like the Porsche Macan-e. And I'm really looking forward to the new Cayenne EV, both the standard model as well as the coupe. Same applies to the M-B AMG AMG.EA entry , BMW iX3, iX5 and the Range Rover Velar. Heck, I like the VW Tiguan and new T-Roc as well. In a fairy tale world in which I had "F*** YOU" money, I'd be very happy with a Porsche 992.2 GT3 Touring and that new Cayenne ev in coupe form.
Agreed. It’s totally understandable for brands to produce more and more SUV’s because they sell great, and also majority of people can afford them. Especially B and C segment ones. Nowadays the car prices are just ridiculous.
I also agree that Porsche SUV’s are great. I would definitely buy a Cayenne GTS for an everyday car if I had the money 🤣.
New T-Roc also looks great. At least from a design point. Nothing else is exciting about it though. Just a B-Segment crossover.

No need to convince me, I love the legendary skinny vertical grilles of yesteryear, just like I dig how the current M3/M4's grow out of the hood sculpturing. It's mainly the pairing with an otherwise plasticky office appliance style front fascia with an utterly nondescript dead-eyed DRL signature that makes for quite a clumsy implementation in my opinion -- I'd much rather have preferred they had done something similar to the NK sedan.
