With this range, I believe BMW only needs to nail the design. The current design theme of the G series is exhausted IMO. And competition is not doing any better. So there is an opportunity here for BMW.

The only G Series vehicle design that is still being hopeful is the upcoming G45, and maybe the G50 only if BMW is in the right place and right people.

Well, that's mostly where my curiosity about this concept comes from.

It's almost identical with the exception of the front and has clearly grown in size compared to the outgoing model. My plan was to downsize when I replace our iX.

I don't think it's "almost identical" but it surely follows some family identity parameters and since the iX was a success...why not?
The size is surely noticeably smaller than the iX, the camouflage works
