As a 3 Series owner for the last 15 years, I can't say that a bigger 3er is what I want. The current G20 is as big as I want it to get.

As for 5 Series - I always viewed it as the calm down and grow up car for business use but age is in the mind I guess. Which is a good thing because I'm really not a fan of how it looks.

They're not going to be able to fix this car.

I think that they just might actually accomplish that. IMHO, rather slight tweaks in the rocker skirt area (meaning contoured surfacing, inlays and paint) could be of significant aesthetic benefit. And such tweaks would not involve sheetmetal modification. Lighting unit modifications, grill/shield and apron mods should be a relatively easy exercise.

Hence, I, personally, am not so pessimistic.

What I meant is the G20/G50 already being 5er sized to begin with.

A bit smaller than that for the 3er would be perfectly fine by me.

Agree. The 3er is the only sedan I would own and one of the reasons is its size. My dad drives a G30 and it feels too large for someone who has owned compacts most of his life like me.

Since the G50 is a large FL of the G20, I guess the size will remain where it should.

E60 was from the era when BMW were bold, brash and audacious the automotive powerhouse equivalent of a coke dealer screaming through your letterbox after the hooker you picked up has maxed out your credit cards at Michael Kors and your savings on Colombian marching powder. A car that was less ordinary.

The V10 was Legendary and an Instant classic, when this car was released, I knew they won’t built another one like this any time soon.
