The G60 FL is so confusing. Have we ever had a facelift being tested simultaneously with different fronts this far into development (or at all)??

They are literally completely different cars. To the point technically they might as well be completely different brands. The 3er is not ready, and the i3 is. And visually they are going to make them look alike as much as possible.

And like said above, the proportions will set them apart visually. The actual design elements will be like, identical.

Looks so good. Love the muscle car-esque boxier roofline and short front overhang.

While the i3 will be built on the Neue Klasse platform, the 3 Series will continue to use the CLAR platform. Although they are very similar in terms of design, their underlying infrastructure is completely different.

The headlight conundrum is certainly intriguing. If an option requires different optics than standard then it would probably be on the scale of the F12/F13 6er when the concepts LED’s launched with the Coupe and transformed the front.

I am curious whether the kidney grill of the G50 will have openings or will this be fully closed plastic like the i3? There is rectangular openings at the bottom of the bumper but those kidneys are intriguing me.
