I think the ICE 3er does have kidney grille. But depends on what options you take? Some will probably end up being like the 5/i5/M5.

The M350 like other M Performance Automobiles will probably have the horizontal bars?

I don’t think the kidneys will have any openings, otherwise the spy cars would have openings also. Hope you are right though

They still have to sell a 320/d etc. These cars in their basic form will probably have an active kidney grille. I can understand i3 not needing the airflow. Other 3er models will.

That “grille” element made a huge impact imo. It looked so Opel-like before that. Overall I love what I’m seeing.

He places the finish line of the kidney grille end at the same distance as the headlights, which is incorrect. Furthermore, he continues to base the rear three-quarter view on the G60. Please give Sugar Design another task, another brand or model to butcher. The ease with which AI works has him obsessed whit the NK and the G50, creating 70 renders of a car that will be presented at the end of the year.

I can't help but feel it's not as striking as the iX3. Just looks a lot more plain.

M'eh, personal bias but to me a saloon car is a grown up adults car: 4 doors, 3 boxes, that'll always be my preference... so I'm not really commenting on i3 versus iX3, but the i3 itself (or at least what we're seeing in renderings) is a very simple design - sure, the NK front has novelty value and looks relatively good, but the rest of the car is fairly vanilla so I agree in that respect, I'm just not seeing the iX3 much differently.

This is probably how they will address the LCI 5er/i5/M5. The kidney grille will probably protrude outwards of the Neue-Klasse facia to give it extra identity but its placement and design will have some relationship with the Neue-Klasse/G50.
