This looks really good. The front end has a 3D effect which I did not found in the latest renders.

Both G50 and NA1's proportions are born out of necessity. G50 is the traditional longitudinal RWD powertrain with all the proportion benefits this has brought over the generations, while NA1 with electric motors and skateboard architecture looks the way it does because it needs to. Cab-backward and EV just isn't a thing...

If they wanted them to look the same, there would be no point in using different platforms. They could use the same platform as the current i5/i7, and it would still look disproportionate.

Yes, we all know this. It has all the proportion hallmarks of the G20.

I mean are we even looking at the same vehicle? It looks really nice for a 3er, and it’s pretty much a deeply facelifted G20. What’s there to criticize?

Overall, the torso is elevated. The G20 is more athletic. The lighting units being positioned so low below the hood line makes the vehicle look bulky.

I get your point but we have to wait for the official pictures to further comment on the design imo. Camouflaged cars tend to mislead.
