Victor Gómez from Puerto Rico had a very special wish come true at the Porsche Sonderwunsch Manufaktur: his 20-year-old Carrera GT was technically restored to new condition and given a Salzburg design reminiscent of the legendary livery of the 1970 Le Mans winning 917. The interior has also been individualized and refined with red Alcantara and matt carbon.

After months of hard work and design choices, the 1st Porsche Carrera GT SC (Sport Canepa) is almost ready to be revealed. It will make its first public appearance at The Amelia Concours this weekend, and we’ll be showing off the car on Friday this week. Lots of updates, specific design changes, all while making the Carrera GT even better.

Introducing the 1st Carrera GT SC (Sport Canepa)! In the stunning Liquid Metal Green. Revealed at the Amelia Concours weekend, the Carrera GT SC represents Canepa’s latest project by taking the Sport Canepa name and ethos and applying it to one of the most legendary cars ever made by Porsche. The Carrera GT SC began with a vision of improving areas that could be improved with modern technology, and color options never available. A bespoke leather interior with updated Alcantara surfaces, body-matched air intakes to help blend them under the body-matched engine mesh, updated KW suspension with integrated lift, gloss black painted headlight bezels and exhaust surrounds, upgraded exhaust system for better sound and power, upgraded clutch for better longevity and driving, a custom exposed carbon fiber roll hoop, anodized black wheel center locks, and a complete concours-level paint change that involved removing all of the body panels.
