Yas!

It's been such a loooong "marriage", my darlings. 😁😮
Almost 20 years here already. And quite a few additional years prior @ the original GCF.
Guys, we are some true dinosaurs. :ROFLMAO: Old as sh**! But still young at heart & very naughty. 🤭😏🤪

It's crazy how long some of us have been connected through GCF.

Met one of my best mates on here about 16 or 17 years ago. 😍 🤣

The new 3er and i3 looks to have the facia wide kidney grille. An interpretation of the traditional BMW look. The central tall kidney grille is for the SUV models such as iX3 and the new X5/iX5

Looking forward to seeing the reinterpretation of the traditional grill. I think there's more merit in widening the grill, than lengthening it, which often ends up looking like beaver or swine syndrome.

The beaver Teeth grille has certainly worked for BMW. The 7/i7 has enormous presence almost like a Teutonic Rolls-Royce.
The M3 and M4 give a very powerful statement of a performance car.
It was an interpretation of the past but I reckon the Alfa Romeo Giulia influenced and tipped the scales to push forward a whole new identity.

I quite like the design of the NK 3er without the beaver grille. On these pics BMW released some weeks ago, the new 3er looks like the most interesting design coming from the 3 germans in a long while.

My favourite interpretation so far is the M4. The others leave a lot to be desired.

Just to think over 30 years ago “50” meant V12 the upper echelon and the ceiling which all luxury yardsticks were measured from. Now it’s a Six Cylinder middle of the line Performance model shown here for the e-segment.
Progress?

I dont know what power that V12 30 years ago had and how it compares to the current top of the line engine
If its more powerful and more efficient, yes, its a progress IMO

Still pushing the ugly is “presence” thing huh? No Rolls in recent memory has been as ugly as 7 continues to be. Yes it works on the M3 and M4 but on the 7 you’re just lying to yourself. It’s one of the ugliest cars on the road. No Alfa has ever liked so bad.
