2 Series [Spy Shots] 2015 BMW 2 Series Spy Pics & Info

The BMW 2 Series is a range of subcompact executive cars (C-segment) manufactured by BMW since the year 2014. The 2 Series was created when BMW spun-off the 2-door models (coupé and convertible) of the BMW 1 Series into a separate series.
I it is very funny.

As for my feelings...

The 2er is the quintessential small BMW Coupe think of the BMW 700 , 1600 and of course the 2002. Then you had the birth of the BMW 3er with the E21 and the E30.
The 2er conforms to that classic small BMW perspective , which you just know will give a slight nod to the past but be something different entirely.
I really hope marketing isn't writing checks that the car cannot cash.

Godd looking but what exactly makes this the best looking BMW of the entire lineup ??

First and foremost it's the unique proportions. It's a cute two door sedan and secondly, the shape of the head and tail lights are not over complicated but are simply beautiful. The only bimmer that might be able to rival it is the new X6.

Those rear lights aren't so bad! I quite like them...

It will be awesome. Looks almost perfect in the spyshots. Can't wait to see the whole thing!!

Edit; whoops, I didn't even see the link with the pics!
The rear looks freaking amazing! What the hell was Eni smoking yesterday? GIMME SOME!!!
Those one piece (1er coupe/2er coupe tradition now) rear lights look sensational. Much better than the rather common and plain looking 3er/5er ones!!!

BMW coupes:

2er >>> 4er >>>>> 6er

All of course are far better than the competition (2er and 6er don't even have competition), but the 2er is close to BMW perfection.

^

two door sedan?

Agreed, confusion. The 2er is very much a coupe. Not being as sleek as a 4er doesn't make it a 2 door sedan. And I don't even know what a 2 door sedan actually is? What makes it that and not a traditional coupe?!

@EnI

Did you even see the rearlights before posting?

My Gosh they look awesome. Lots of noise for nothing again. You're trying to be critical, but this sure wasn't the right time LOL

Radical shift in tactics? Expect less, get more. :D

Seriously: I stick to my opinion. Wait to see the whole thing. As said: it's not ugly but not as fluent as it could be. Especially when compared to the gorgeous front end.

That would be your opinion then. I disagree with it..

Did you even see it? You're severly overreacting imo, a bit like rust-gate.

I think they are the finnest rearlights from BMW, on par with the 6er ones. This is just some amazing work from BMW and just confirms my opinion: BMW is far better with small and medium cars than with large ones. Even when the 5er and 6er look very nice, cars like this 2er and 4er are just on another level.

If only they had put the Z4 interior on this...

Yes. And no, I'm not overreacting. To me the rear doesn't look as good as the front. To me it looks like the front was inspired by previous generation of BMWs, while the rear is a typical contemporary BMW design. Quite a weird combination IMHO. It's not the most coherent design - but it could easily be. Eg. the new X5 has a bit odd rear lights but they fit the overall F15 design well. While those ones on 2er Coupe just don't.

And don't mention me that bloody rust again, please. :dead: It's like putting salt on an open wound. :blackeye:
