re: 2011 Mercedes CLS (Spy shots & Info)

I wonder what MB is gonna do to rival the ultra exclusive four doors from AM and Porsche? is there any plans of making a bigger one above the CLS based off the S class and would be like a coupe version of ODC?

It's actually the opposite. The CLS is the benchmark, not the victim so MB should just continue on with the CLS as it is only with a tad more head room in the rear. From what I can see this new car should be more useful.:usa7uh:

re: 2011 Mercedes CLS (Spy shots & Info)

Yeah the CLS is the original and benchmark but next to cars like Rapide,Panamera or even the Lambo one(if it's to be made) it's a bit down market.

I wish for super expensive one based on the S and be liek a fixed roof ODC with crazy AMG engines,to properly fight the others.

By doin that MB is gonna have a killer for all 4doors,one against the likes of A7 and the others against the likes of Rapide:D

But having said that,i think the next CLS AMG is enough for all worlds to handle:D

Headlight design looks interesting…and extremely bright! Maybe LED technology?!

Yeah something like the CLS, but above the CLS would be nice. The current economic situation may stop that though, but such a car would likely be a Maybach IMO. I don't think we'll see the ODC until the next generation S-Class.

WOW LED front lights I love it. Am I the only one who see the huck´s PS really near to the final car?, except the two stripped grille and the front bumper the rest seem to be very very near.

I still hope, that they will change the mirrors!! Anyway it is already a great looking car - even with camo!! :eusa_danc Can't wait to see the interior - I hope, that the passion of the current will be still there…!

A little more greenhouse this time and better mirrors....the bar has been set high by the first CLS and now the Panamera for interiors so the new CLS has better bring it.

CLS, SLC, E-Class Wagon, and E63 AMG all at Frankfurt...bank on it!

M

Is that is confirmed? damn if true..MB is gonna own Frankfurt:D

Highly unlikely, since the CLS prototypes have only recently hit the roads. It is still a long way up to the FEP cars(and we all know how painful was the waiting in the case of the new E-Klasse Limousine!!!), so no chance to see the new CLS this year. Paris 2010 sounds more plausible.

The SLC - my guess is Geneva 2010(a preview concept;it's a special car, the rebirth of an icon, so it really needs a lot of attention and careful preparation of the launch) and Paris 2010(the final car).

E-Klasse T-Modell, E 63 AMG, yes, and also the E-Klasse Cabrio, definitely at the 2009 IAA.

Remember the first CLS was launched as a concept vehicle. Maybe they will try to recreate the magic, and show a concept version.

well i dont think so. Where do you have this infos from???

The E-Class Wagon will be presented 6 month later than the E-Class Limo, like AMS wrote. And this i think will be at the IAA.

But the CLS? No, definitely!

It looks like we are dealing with a fully production ready car here. December must be the time when MB present it. I suspect the Gullwing will drop 1-2 months before.

I hadn´t seen this latest pics. Honestly, I looks exactly like Huch´s render except for the mirros and posibly the side parts of the air intake, with LED instead of traditional fogs as huch´s PS. But both front and rear lights look exactly the same.
