I think the C-class deserves a bit of credit with the new facelifted model. It seems like it gets trashed around here more than it should.

I think that's because we're all waiting for the new one :usa7uh: :D

Well i love it.. its like mini S.. i would take it over the 3er just cause i hate the 3er rear lights they like to jap style to me.. and i dont like the FL on the A4 at all..

PS
But i was shocked cause around here it seems that the 3er is faaar more superior.. ohh and the fact that the C is the oldest..:D

I think we do tend to trash the C more than what it deserves. I think as a car its fine, we just expect somthing of a much higher qaulity from Benz.

In OZ they say the 3-er is fantastic, but in no way does it shame the C, which post facelift is a fine car that actually runs the 3-er very close in some departments and trounces it for confort and ride quality. Last place goes to the the Audi with its poor ride quality and steering. I think it just goes to show, that road conditions in different countries can change comparison rankings very easily.

I personally think MB will catch the 3er w/ the new model, after driving two of the latest modelds, including the C55(they should call it "C66", lol) they're almost dead on w/ the 3 in terms of the driving experience, just a few wrinkles to iron out and they'll get there. Needless to say the E90 remains untouched at the moment....

I'm surprised the 3-series didn't dominate. Interesting that old fogey C-Class did so well, guess I've been underestimating it. Guess with the new engine, steering and suspension changes it has greatly improved. Too bad its so pricey.

This is good for everyone, better cars for the consumers :usa7uh:

It doesnt just get trashed here, but also in sales compared with 330i.
This is the first comparison test (ive seen and Ive seen many) where the 3er didnt get first.

Actually, there was another test where the C350 finished first but it was posted on the original GCF forum.

There is a trend here. Mercedes is taking knocks for price, but the comparos are saying that it is the best car - that is how it should be folks. When people read "best car" they'll want that car and the price difference here ain't nearly enough to make the Benz oh-so unaffordable. I'm fine with this:

If one leaves the high basic price aside, the Mercedes is completely clear the winner of the comparison. It impresses with mad road performances, good comfort and braking distances on Porsche level.

That is the way it should be, IMO.

Haha...once again. Audi takes the crown. :usa7uh:

And once again, MB fans just can't accept the defeat in a good way.... :eusa_doh:
Did you even look at the results from the link I provided? This was a good thread until you started pointing fingers. Booo at your post.

Sure we can long as we, you, us, everyone knows what the overall best car is. I have no problem with Audi taking a victory when deserved. What shocks me here is that the brand-new 3-Series takes it on the chin.

You win some, you lose some. Didnt BMW pay Autobild enough :D Well well, car tests are subjective and victories are only good for bragging rights, I guess I cant bragg this time :D

BTW this an old test, I belive this was posted over at the old place.

Audi wins because of price/package for the money.

Always.

well a south african carmag drove 330i vs A3 3.2 vs C 350 and they said that 3er was a better car so the 3er won the comparisons. So its not always price :)

i drive a pre-facelift audi a4 and my bro drives a new 330i, and what a ride he has, beside interior quality, it is superior or at least on the same level on almost every aspect compared with my a4, and i am a hardcore audi fan... i dont know what's wrong with autobild.

Wow I'm suprised that the C-class won the test. I though that the new 3er was lighter years ahead of it and I didn't know that the car has very good handling. good job MB. :usa7uh:

Autobild on MB payroll? Don't think so :D Hopefully you guys will keep on posting comparisons so that we don't make conclusions based on one single test.
