DeDe, is this only one supertest for the R8 Plus, what Sportauto going to drive?

I was expecting a better time. But if the weather conditions sucked, then it is a little explainable. I was expecting it to knock the R8 GT time.

There's always one Supertest for each car. Why?

Ok then, I just ask and wonder, why now comes the supertest. Now is cold conditions, why not wait for the summer, and then get better result for sure, IMO :)

Because it's an unfair world. :ROFLMAO: Seriously, it's a new car, press-tests are going since late 2012, no surprises here. :)

I doubt that, since R8 GT was on semi-slicks.

How on earth can the 991s acheive a 7.38 stock on Pzeros then ? Respectable time by Audi but I expected better.

The 991 S was driven by a factory driver last summer. :)

So the M135i, the most bang for buck, most talked about, most being bought with real money, with a waiting list of over 6 mths, hot hatch; the coming M235i coupe; and the expected to weigh in around 1550 kg, 450 hp new M3(M4) are also part of your 'overpower overweight ultimate driving machine wannabes'?

The incoming M3 is hardly lightweight if it turns out to be 1550kg, 50-70kg lighter than Jaguar's claimed for the V6 F type convertible. F type coupe is expected to a little lighter. I guess F type doesn't claim to be ultimate driving machine.

On the other hand, I do agree Porsche makes non-pretentious sports cars, cayman, boxter and 911 are all honest great sports cars. I do not agree BMW is anywhere on the same level.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
