^ i hope your read my correction on your hellish 46 degrees..

1. How do we know it was a 4 matic ?
2. How do we know it was driven at full power?
3. How do we know if the car was driven in properly?
4. Since the video was from the S8 we can't know what gear the S was in when the race started.
5. Why were there not multiple runs at different speeds?
6. Why no standing start?
7. What speed was the rolling start from?
8. What HP was both cars laying down since there was no dyno?
9. How do we know the S8 was not tuned?
10. And like this test what were the conditions of the track?

LIke you said that video is not inconclusive.. nor is this test.. all im saying for the 4th time now is why the flac for questioning in that thread, and then question this..which is seen by car fans as the most reliable source for performance testing ( perfect? surely not).
I Think main questionmarks in this type of video are:
What octane fuel is used, full or empty tank?
Are both in optimal gear?
Tire condition, type and marque?

These can really change a result upside down, atleast in my experience with similar cars.
Also in moving starts often the one who floors the throttle first, wins. Also if one car is moving a few km/h faster at start, it takes a while lot of more hp to catch up, a standing start is a totallynew story and won't go into that. Videos are nice to watch, but you can't really base anything on one video. That's a fact. Cars have different sweet spots and youcan manipulate a running start by chosing the other cars weak point or the other cars strong point. Lets enjoyvideos, but not give them desicive status. I'm not sure but I think the weight distribution between the RS6 and AWD E63-S isn't that different so why the big difference in time? I think we need to see what tyre each brand is using to see if they are different and if they are find a tyre comparison test to see which is best in dry warm conditions.

Exacly, E63 AMG 4matic is the same nose heavy as the RS.
 
DeDe, when comes the RS7-supertest by Sportauto?
They won't make such a test after the RS6 Supertest.

To me it's BMW that have the best rubber overall and heaven know why Audi are sticking with Pirelli.

Is everybody foregetting that RS6 is a Wagon, surely it must affect the laptime in a negative way?

Exactly add that to my 10 and you have 15 legit questions such videos arises.
Now on the other hand sport auto tests answers alot of these questions are are far more scientific..
Still there is room for debate as you can see in this thread...

Any way who gives a F.. its 10s slower than the E63 and also 5 sec slower than the RWD older M5..

Shocking to say the least!

Dang I'm really disappointed by this test. And it sucks cause it's such an important test.

Hopefully the RS7, which is on a big roll in tests around the world, beating all competition, will save the flag.
