http://www.autoevolution.com/news/is-this-the-maserati-ghibli-56327.htmlSergio Marchionne has taken up every bit of money he could from other projects to ensure the revival of the Maserati brand gets the revival it deserves. This is a three stage process, and the 'rocket' has already taken off in Detroit this January, as the new Quattroporte was launched.
The second stage is another four-door model, about 300 millimeters shorter, called the Ghibli. You can view it as a cheaper Quattroporte, or an Italian BMW 5 Series, though it has its fair share of other rivals as well.
The Ghibli sedan has been spotted testing across Europe on numerous occasions, but never wearing anything other than a perfect disguise. We'll admit we were a little frustrated yesterday when we shoed you thosespyshots of the car testing, because we couldn't actually tell you anything about the looks, but we persevered and found what we were looking for.
JokeForBlog published these photos f the Ghibli without actually telling us anything to give them credibility. Because the headlights have a different design, we can tell you this isn't the real Ghibli, but more likely a scale model built by the car's designers. Before you call this 'fake', consider nobody else would have built a model of the Ghibli, so to an extent, this is the real deal.
The Italian sedan shows a brand new style of grille, one that looks a little bit like the lipstick stains women leave when they kiss you. This is mainly because of a very deep channel used as a design element for the nose.
WTF is Marchionne thinking? Instead of bring up Maserati and Alfa Romeo to Ferrari level, he is bringing them to Fiat level, which is laready lower than VW.
There is a design magazine which you can buy about automotive design , I think bi-monthly?I don't think it is the Ghibli. It might just be a Quattroporte.
No that's the Ghilbi , OICA list it for Shanghai. Looks like the GLA Concept will follow the Concept A and CSC and not be a production reality of the actual car. That doesn't look like the Ghibli. Looks more like a Rolls Royce Phantom rival by the size.
Do you remember the name of the magazine? There is a design magazine which you can buy about automotive design.
So another good looking car that will be awkward in the showrooms? No that's the Ghilbi , OICA list it for Shanghai. Looks like the GLA Concept will follow the Concept A and CSC and not be a production reality of the actual car.

Not only it looks good, now that it has frameless doors, I kinda feel that it has more of that coupeish feeling compared to those of the germans "4-door coupes".
There is something about the proportions of a 3-box sedan that could be sexier than coupes, right ? Case of example , the proportions of the new S class compared to the fastback roofs of Audi A7 and Jaguar XJ.
Maserati feels... More exotic.
Anyone feeling mutual ?
