Vs Smoking Tire: E46 M3 vs Ford Fiesta ST

Oh man this cracked me up TOTALLY. What a winner!!!

"The biggest reason for not buying a E46 is BMW owners. You know those people. I know those people. We've seen those people. Do you really wanna buy their problem?"

Is he talking about @klier ? haha

Oh man.. This made my friday

Having said that, I'd still would take the E46 M3 anyday. One of the best BMW's ever. I wouldn't even look at that Fiesta.

A used M3 cost too much to own these days. If it broke it will ruin you and insurance costs is way too expensive. With that said it not fair to compare with 15 year old car. But Fiesta St should not be underestimated, is a fun and joyful car to drive. Already beaten cars like m135i, A45 amg and various of other more expensive cars. If you enjoy driving, you will enjoy a ST.

lol 'nothing to write home about', yeah way to go fatso, you latent audi fangirl

Haha, funny guy. Funny guy. Maybe they hit just the right spot with describing you? haha...funny guy..

My experience that comes from various E46s belonging to many friends of mine says that the E46 is far from reliable. There are many things that can brake down and most certainly, they will, no matter if you have an M3 or just a 316i. And it costs a lot. The E46 is far from a perfect car - it has many flaws. I have yet to see one that after 150.000km of hard use hasn't had its front strut towers cracked. Or one that that bloody HVAC resistance hasn't failed. Or someone that hasn't had his ignition coils, MAF, throttle and camshaft sensors replaced every few years.

But if you are willing to swallow these issues and occasionally put your hand deep into your pocket, it's one of the most rewarding compact luxury cars to drive. Its steering is almost perfect, the handling is rewarding, the 6 cylinder engines are so bloody good.

I would choose one over a brand new car for the same money, only if I could afford the ownership costs - that is not something comparable. The first few years of a brand new car, when nothing breaks down is a nice experience, but is it really worth it?

Personally, I am toying with the idea of getting an E46 for two years now, but financially, it doesn't make sense (for me). Yet. I will get myself one day, and park it next to the E39 I will get myself one day.

But these days, I have neither the time, nor the mood to spend on my favorite hobby - cars. I managed to fix a leak in my Clio's cooling circuit after two weeks of identifying it, yet lacking one hour for one morning to actually deal with it. I've completely ruined the front right shock of my S60 and I haven't had the luxury to spend one morning and decide what the heck to put, go bananas and fit Bilstein Sprint, or go pappa-mobil and fit the stock Sachs. When you don't have enough time for anything other than work when the sun shines, and most of the time, well past after it sets, a trouble-free driving experience makes your life a lot easier and at the end of the day you are willing to loose some driving smiles for the feeling that nothing will go wrong tomorrow morning, when you try to start your car.

Thinking of it again, while writing these words, I find myself torn. I would go mad if I had to choose just one car to own. But with a too car garage (and some extra cash), I could be a very happy man.

:)

Fiesta ST is one hell of a performer. Today I was driving along those beautiful swedish country roads and enjoying every single corner I encounter. I notice how a car is catching up on me. I'm not late speeding up once he is behind me. I hit the throttle and I just fly through the corners. He cannot follow me and I see how he is trying but the distance is getting larger. A new straight road appear and he is closing in on me but only a little bit. The distance is too large for him to catch up. And when a new corner is coming, he is lost. I'm sure he didn't think I was going to challenge him and that this little car was going to beat him.
Similar thing happen later and with the same ending.

I'm 100% sure everybody would be impressed how great this little car is if you were riding along with me as a passenger. It's difficult to understand reading on the internet. It needs to be experienced. It's easy to understand why every single review been impressed by this car and all the praise and awards it's been getting. Fiesta ST is a shockingly awesome performer, a true pocket rocket.

I also had a go on a long straight road called "Sjöborakan". This is a popular meeting place during summer, where cars and bikes meet to race. Its long and wide road which used to be landing zone for airplanes. I had to give it a go but stopped once I hit 200km/h, afterall my wintertyres are still one.

^ you didn't mention the type of car chasing you.

Or gender of the driver :ROFLMAO:
.gender,no idea, too occupied driving. We are not speaking about Ferrari or Porsches, just cars with similar power and cars that average people can afford. Go and read about the new ST and you know what this car can do, it's the hatchback of year 13. Point is, you don't need to pay a fortune to get entertaining and capable car.

I'm not going to tell. It's just going to upset some members here. But I'm going to say one thing, if you see a blue car and me in it, I will put up a fight, a good one, as long it's a curvy road. LOL.

Dear Guys who are going to be upset to know the blue car,

Please stop reading here.

Regards
Mohamed.
