S-Class (W223) Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W223) Facelift 2024

The Mercedes-Benz W223 is the seventh generation of the S‑Class full-size luxury sedan, produced by Mercedes-Benz since 2020. It replaces the W222 S‑Class which had been produced since 2013.
It’s funny how people found this render to be horrible back in 2023, but now it’s pretty much the reality. Just with a much bigger grille and whole lotta star graphics. 😃
Maybe it's because this FL took so damn long , that people expect some sort of a mini-new-model. Others had this leaks grew on them (forced by time)

Honestly , my expectations are pretty low , given the fact that MBUX is so good , I can't think of something better. And exterior wise , stars everywhere , meh...

The real show stopper will definitely be the next generation S-Class. At least that’s what I hope.

Can't really drop the ball with that one. Though I doubt it'll be a bad car, it really needs to be a statement piece from a design standpoint.
Almost every S-class launched is always a benchmark for new technology, comfort and refinement and patents that eventually drift into lower and cheaper models. Some S-class models improve in all measures, especially in exterior design and interior design and quality but then there are those that although are brilliant in the technology, comfort and refinement are not improved in quality and build and take a step backwards and become less reliable. The most noticeable model is the W220, which took a step behind in interior quality and reliability although in exterior design it still looked fantastic and it drove even more impressive than the W140. The W223 could fit in that category slightly with a drop in interior quality compared to the W222, but improved in every other area.

With the W224, Mercedes will have to look at every single metric, including engineering, design, build, materials and make a giant step forward to make it every bit as desirable as a Bentley or RR but been the new benchmark to drive.

I assume, that on 29' of January, we will see the at first the W223 MOPF version during the international Presentation in Stuttgart.

Maybe this car will guide us into the design language we can expect from W224.

To meet RR interior Quality even the MANUFAKTUR versions need to improve. All Manufaktur parts are great in execution, but still too many plastic parts around. Companies like BRABUS demonstrate, that all of this parts can become premium, if covered in leather or fabric.

I am definitely looking forward to see the W223 MOPF in Stuttgart and to get a touch and feel impression, if the quality of parts has been improved above the W223 prior MOPF.

I really like the W223 but this shiny black plastic is not my cup of tea.

I’d like to order the manual door handles with keyless entry.

Covering stuff in leather/alcantara/whatever does not suddenly make things more premium. If anything, wrapping everything in leather is a sign of weakness and underlying crappy materials.

Not saying this is the case with Brabus, but for me it's a general rule. High end soft touch plastics generally are more impressive than a slab of leather. A piece of leather is something any random chop job second rate garage can do
